Releasing the madness
Well it's about time you let me out, Mun! The beauty and perfection of my family has to be spread all around! I mean - look! Look at them! They're just so cute!

Sadly I don't have any canonmates to throw at you x-x
I hope you find them around here easily enough.
Can I just call you Mr. Hughes? I would rather not bother with your military rank.
[Hnaef was likely Edward's junior by a couple years at least, but he was talking seriously if a little happy about Hughes' fawning over his family.]
I see no problem with cross canon play~
You can call me Hughes. Have we met? Perhaps you've met my darlings? [He'll go on if you don't stop him.]
yay ^^
No we haven't met and I haven't met your family. I just know about you indirectly.
I do share something in common with your daughter though. My father is something like a military man himself.

Hughes smiles at the picture before carefully putting it away. The foreknowledge shown is a bit worrying though.]
How indirectly?
[That goofy tone? Completely different from how he's speaking now. Maze of contradictions right there.]

Maybe, but they're perfect, don't you think?
[Maybe a little more sober and serious with this next question.]
What do you mean by a free man?

[ dismissive wave!! ] You know. You all have families, pretty much, so it's just normal for you guys, isn't it?
no subject
Of course she is.
[Raises a brow as he carefully tucks the picture away.]
You're talking like you don't have a family.

Every day is special when my two angels are in this world, Roy!

You do know that if you're "let out" so to speak, you'll probably end up in a world without them?
no subject
If that means they're safer away from me, that is fine.

Well...such devotion to family is indeed to be commended, I suppose.
[But such an odd tone for a man to take...Thorin's used to women gushing so madly over their families, not men!]
I think you just made my day just by replying. <3
Only commended? I'd say it's the best part of having such a great family!
Re: XD I couldn't resist!! :)
[He has the best nephews a Dwarf could ask for. Don't bother trying to fight him on this, you will lose]
I simply meant that I can appreciate your affection. It is so rare to find a man so open about his love for his family.
[This includes Thorin, who often finds difficulty showing affection - pride, that's a simple thing to show]

Seeing Hughes is bittersweet, and it just tugs at the grief of losing him again. Not that he would ever tell Hughes that, it would be cruel to let him know how it was all going to end, that he wouldn't even see his daughter grow up.]
H-Hey! I bet they'd be happy to hear you say that.

You think I should remind them?

/snerk/ Oh Riza...
How about this one?
