He's so good at lying, it's scary.
I look forward to your plans for me. All I ask is that you take my age into consideration. I am not as young as I used to be.
[Dumbledore, I can spot that BS from a mile away. It's like a rocket ship of BS.]

*Lance doesn't even KNOW Albus and he kinda senses that bs. But, he does take a moment to hit the pause button on his handheld and slip his headphones off of his ears, and onto his shoulders.*
And as my father says, "You're only as old as you feel"!

Joke. It's a joke. He's not that old~ *Nope. Lies. Vampire heritage and all that jazz. Perhaps Lance's gold eyes give it away? It's not like his fangs are showing....
*Either way, his head is still firmly stuck in the gaming console he has set aside. Hng. Boss monsters. A dystopia has to have boss monsters to beat up!! They like, go hand-in-hand.*

*He points at the handheld.* It's a gaming system. Lots of people own them. They're like small computers that load a program, full of graphics and sounds, and some of them tell stories that you interact with. This one is about a knight and a few close allies trying to save a kidnapped princess, and stop the greatest evil of their world!
...Or so it's phrased.
*His expression curls in contemplation.* It's uncomfortable how villains can be portrayed as two-dimensional and no one even bats an eyelash. Even in this game, I've yet to figure out what drove the final boss to madness.
What made him kidnap the princess? It's not for physical power - he razed a military country to the ground. It's not for wealth. And I'm not satisfied with "because he's evil." It's too simple, and people are so complex. Why should a digital character be the exception to the complexity of human nature?
... *He blushes suddenly, in embarrassment.* Er, sorry. I get really excited over this kind of thing.

[He reminds Thorin of another who is equally cryptic and usually (though Thorin will rarely admit this when it contradicts him) right.]
Very well, I too am one who possesses an adventurous heart.
Though I do so detest activities that waste my time.

You are...er, were dead?
[He tilts a brow - unable to wrap his mind around this. Thorin contemplates poking the taller man with the hilt of his sword...but that would be rude.]
Yet you stand before me here and now as plain as any living being I've ever encountered...how? What new devilry is this?
