what happens when mun marathons an entire season in 2 days
Well, it's about time this place saw some real action. I was almost starting to get bored.
Come on, mun. Let's see what you've got.

You should.
It'd be awesome.
Totally awesome.
Awesome in a big way.
...
And I'm not just saying this because I'd be really entertained by watching my cousin squirm.
no subject
Subtle.
[She even sends a faint smirk his way.]
It's not often I get invited to meet the family on the first date. Who's your 'cousin'?
no subject
[Mike indicates a height that's bigger than he is.]
Blue mask. Twin katana. Adorable in an eager puppy kind of way.
no subject
I thought you lot were brothers, not cousins.
no subject
...
Okay, I didn't mean for that to be nearly as cryptic as it came out. Let's try this a different way. What do you think my name is.
[Given the red bandanna he's wearing, Mike's fully expecting to be named Raph. Though...he sounds nothing like Raph what so ever...and more like...Robbie Rist.]

[She wasn't stupid enough to be fooled by the color of a mask. This Turtle...whoever he was...wasn't the Brother she was thinking of. For one, he was being nice to her, not hurling one of his oh-so-delightful insults and death glares her way.]
[Frankly, she was starting to miss the glares.]
I don't know. Monet? Picasso? Larry?
Stop me if I'm getting close.
no subject
...I really like Larry! I've always thought myself more of a Curley guys, but Larry'll work in a pinch.
I've got to admit, I was expecting you to call me Raph, but no. I'm Mike. Short for Michaelangelo.
no subject
['And so are you, apparently' Not that she would admit such a thing aloud. Ever.]
So what's with the undercover look? I heard Orange was the new Black, but I didn't realize that meant Red was the new Orange.
no subject
More like Orange is the new Red. And at the risk of getting pedantic, Blue is the new red, and Purple is the new Red.

So, do I get a name to go with the compliments--which, by the way, feel free to keep 'em coming--or am I going to be forced to guess yours, too?
no subject
By the way, aside from life philosophy, there is one other thing we have in common, although it isn't quite as fun to talk about.

Yeah? What is it?

Leo comes from mid-explosion during "The Alien Agenda" and has NOT heard any post-canon info 8Db
I disagree. Stay out of Keeliai - or you and I, we're going to have a problem. Clear?
well. this oughta be fun, then.... >_>
We already have a problem, Leo.
You've got a lot of nerve showing your face right now.
I think you mean *awesome.*
She insisted. Don't expect the welcome mat.
[GRUMPY. He's here under protest.
But this is weird. Karai was still friendly – still outright toying with him – the last time he saw her. Now she's aggressive, bitter. Despite himself, and despite the warning of his dimensional twin, he wonders at the change.]
I've got nerve? You're the one who made a monster and left us to take care of your mess! [His eyes narrow into hard-edged slits.]
I guess you're not pretending anymore, huh.
right. my mistake.
[There was a heavy emphasis on the word 'good', however, as if she were mocking the notion that he really was. A stark contrast from the attitude she used to carry.]
[If there were any traces of surprise to Leo's mentioning of something that, for her, had happened so long ago, she hid them well. It was, perhaps, one of many not-quite double-crosses, sure, but the events inside the ship seemed to pale in comparison to all that had happened since. His hostility? Yeah, okay, she could think of one or two reasons why he'd be looking at her like that. Again. But there were so many more shining examples of her ruthlessness he could've gone with.]
Living in the past, I see.
Though, for the record, I don't pretend. Never have.
well they are awfully similar, i mean who's never made that mistake.
Even though none of his brothers are with him now, and he defers leadership to the alternate version of himself who has an additional three years experience, he's also an integral part of their mismatched group. As for doing what his mun says, well, it comes with the gig.
Living in the past? Not so far past for him, technically it's still his present, and he knows he'll be zapped straight back there the moment he disappears from Tu Shanshu. And even though he knows she might come from his future, he won't profess a lack of knowledge if he can help it. His ignorance is her advantage, and the less she knows about what he doesn't know, the better.]
You know what they say about the past. I have no intention of repeating it.
[Yet so help him, Leo believes her when she says she didn't pretend. His instincts say she's telling the truth, and he's always followed them. But the last time he mistook sincerity for trustworthiness, his entire team almost paid the ultimate price. And whether she means it or not, the gouge in his double's shell remains a stark warning of what can happen. It wasn't his Karai, but for all he knows that could be him in three years.
Leo does wish things were different; regret is tempered by doubt and his voice softens around the edges with regret.]
Even if I could believe you [and I do], it wouldn't change anything. You work for the Shredder. [He can't afford to let anything else matter.]
no subject
[If nothing else, she prided herself on the Truth. Bending and twisting it, at times, and it was fair to say that she had moments where she simply changed her mind...but never once did she outright lie to him.]
[Not like he'd lied to her.]
[Hand still on the hilt, she casually began to circle him. Her eyes flashed with annoyance, though in a certain light, he might have also been able to catch traces of anger...and hurt. It was gone soon enough, though. A true kunoichi kept her emotions in check when facing the enemy.]
So what now?
no subject
But.]
I don't repeat my mistakes.
[Now she's visibly preparing for combat, not just on alert. He can't afford to be any less ready than the kunoichi, and preferably he should be ahead of the game. Leo circles counterclockwise, maintaining distance…
Reluctantly, he draws one blade for a diagonal guard.]
I guess that's up to you. You don't bother us, we won't bother you. [He really, really doesn't want to bring this vendetta to Keeliai. So far he has no overt enemies, and he doesn't want to return to actively watching his back every time he goes out.
His player is of course another matter; she usually is.]
no subject
[The worst part was that Karai had to admit to herself...she couldn't either. She could have left. Disappeared into the night once more. But she was here. Now. Ready to engage him in that familiar dance they'd started how long ago now? She hated his guts, but she still admired his talent. One of the best challenges she'd ever had.]
Nice speech. One problem, though.
You're already bothering me.
['Bother' may have seemed a weak term for what she felt at that moment, but there was nothing weak about the moment she unsheathed her ninjato, coming in for a powerful strike. Holding nothing back.]
[Because she couldn't help herself.]
