You had a wonderful opportunity, Mundane. Yes, perhaps Deirdre was the more logical choice, but she's never been all that interesting.

As it is, Mundane, I'm growing bored, as I usually do. And then we dance this dance and nothing happens.
Really, Mundane, I didn't think you were the type to raise hopes over and over only to break them apart.
