I know you're on hiatus with the male me-that's kind of weird, by the way, but I guess at least he's cute-but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun on your days off, right? I'm so excited to see Minako-chan and the others again. I wonder if the boys have recovered from Mitsuru-sempai's execution. That was kind of harsh, don't you think? They were peeking, but the fact that they wanted to is a little flattering! Or at least, I thought it was flattering.

So anyways! Let's make the time we have count! I want to know what kind of exciting things we can do on these memes... and speaking of, what is that male me up to at that Tower place? He seemed really bummed...

[She goes pink again, gently flicking his forehead with a finger as she purses her lips so she doesn't end up giggling at his compliment, nice as it was.]

I'm not perfect! You're blind if you think that...

[She smiles at his expression. She loves seeing him so happy. She wishes she could keep that look on his face for the rest of their lives, and never see him sad. She would do anything to keep him happy... even if right now, all she can really do is gently take the spoon away from him and scoop up another bit of ice cream, holding it up to him.]

You try it first!

[Perhaps Minato should stop teasing her so much, but he couldn't help it. When he teased her, he really was telling the truth. And he did like to see that cute blush on her too.]

I think love will do that to someone.

[Make them blind, at least, figuratively speaking. He blinked a bit in surprise, blushing very lightly, when she offered ice cream to him. He could go along with that. Why not? Anything for her.

He ate the ice cream off the spoon, contemplating its taste.]

It's good. You should have some more.

[He smiled at her again, happy that she was enjoying their time together. He hoped deep down inside that this wasn't just a dream and that he would wake up and it would all be over. It would've been the sweetest dream, but he would only wish that it could've continued.]

L-Love? ...Do you really think that's what you're feeling right now?

[She won't deny that she's feeling the same but... wow, that was a lot to take in. Especially when they'd met not too long ago. But it did make sense, didn't it? She felt close with Minako, and she could feel close with Minato. Maybe it really was love, especially when spending time with him felt so different from spending time with other boys.

She giggles as he eats, and gives an excited nod.]

Oh, of course! Let's see...

[She tries another flavour, sighing with pleasure after she swallowed. It tasted perfect, just like every other aspect of this date. She couldn't help but pray this could just go on forever.]

[Minato smiled. He did think about what it was he was feeling, and it was more than just that intimate connection he had with her. But maybe that's what helped make that feeling of affection he had toward her bloom into something more.

He gently brought his hand up to cup her cheek, then tucked some of her hair behind her ear.]

I know that's what I'm feeling now.

[It might have been sudden or a surprise. But Minato couldn't and wouldn't ever lie to her or to anyone, but especially not her. She of all people deserved to know that she was loved, and no matter where she had come from, what she had done, who she thought she was, Minato would still love her.]

[Ryoko drops the spoon suddenly, apparently not bothered by the clattering sound it makes against the table. He was touching her. He, one of the cutest, sweetest boys she's ever had the pleasure of meeting, looked ready to kiss her on the very first date. There really was something to this connection between them, wasn't there?

And she should be happy, but somehow... somehow, something felt really wrong. It brought tears to her eyes, though she had no idea why, and she stumbled over her response.]

I-I think that's what I'm feeling too, but... is that bad?

[It feels like it's bad. It feels like her admitting that just doomed Minato, and though her whole being wanted to be with him so badly, there was one small part that was absolutely terrified.]

[But with this feeling, it was bound to be normal that doubts would surface. It wasn't that Minato doubted what he was feeling, but he could understand the worry about having that feeling at all. He didn't know when it would disappear, no matter how tightly he held onto it. It could slip away and he would be unable to do anything about it.

Minato took a chance, moving slowly to kiss her forehead.]

It isn't to me. But I should be giving you more time.

[He gave Ryoko a slight apologetic look. She should have all the time in the world to consider her feelings. He didn't mind.]

... If you'll let me love you, then that's enough for me.

[He didn't need it reciprocated if she didn't want to. It was already too much for her to allow him to feel this way toward her too. He was already asking way too much. He didn't want to burden her at all, not with his feelings or emotions or even his very presence.]

[She was too in shock to really understand just what she was worried about, but she was certainly afraid. She was practically shivering, and she breathed slowly, trying to get her composure back. She didn't want this to end... she was so sure it was going to, but she really didn't want it to.

But the kiss is enough to distract her, and she looks up at him, eyes wide... before a smile slowly forms on her lips.]

I don't need more time. Let me love you back.

[And quickly, she leans forward, capturing Minato's lips in an eager kiss, hand going to gently touch his shoulder. Perhaps this was sudden of her, but it was what she needed to do to get her feelings across. To prove that she was happy, even if a few tears were escaping from her eyes.]

[Minato didn't protest that extra show of affection, and in fact, smiled a bit behind that surprise kiss. If they both didn't need more time, then that meant they could start actually being together from this point forward. His fate could intertwine with hers and never be pulled apart. To that end, he also found her hand and linked his fingers with hers.

He dared himself a bit, and kissed her back, to show her just how much he really did love her. He had done so verbally already, and was just starting to show her in this way too. She just beat him to it, that's all. He thought that was cute.

With his free hand since he did feel some water against his cheek, he brushed away those tears. He made her cry though, and of all things, he never, ever wanted to do that.]

[She liked the idea of being together with him. Perhaps it was strange, since they were from different worlds, but she was certain the two of them would find a way to stay together. She doesn't doubt Minato is strong enough to overcome anything, even something like alternate universes. She smiles softly and squeezes his hand.

She keeps the kiss going as long as she can, lightly massaging his shoulder with her hand, and finally comes up for air, chuckling breathlessly.

She flushes when he notices that he caught her crying.]

I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me... I was so happy.

[Minato lightly blushed too, taking in all the small displays of affection she had shown him. He gently kissed her cheek where there was a light track of a tear that had rolled down there earlier.]

You don't have to apologize for being happy. You should be happy.

I want to keep it that way forever.

[He knew there was never really such thing as forever. But he could wish for it and do his best to make it as close as possible. He gave her another soft squeeze of her hand back. If she was happy, that's all Minato could really ask for. She never asked anything of him, which only made Minato want to give her everything he could.]

[The kiss is very much appreciated. Comforting, even more so than it is romantic, and she has to admit she likes that. It wouldn't be any good being together if they couldn't comfort each other.]

I will be happy. As long as you stay with me, I'm certain I'll be happy forever.

You just need to be happy too.

[Of course, she knew as well as Minato did that that was impossible, but she liked to pretend. She liked talking to him and holding his hand and smiling with him, and she'd like to imagine that she could do those things forever. Maybe she will, and maybe she won't. For now, she'll just imagine this moment stretching on into the future.]

Then we'll both be happy. It's how it should be.

[Minato thought maybe he was just being incredibly selfish too. He wanted to be happy and happy with her. He wanted to keep her close to him no matter what, he also wanted this moment to last for as long as it could. But couldn't he afford sometimes to be selfish? Or was that indeed too selfish?

He didn't know. But he didn't know why he should feel guilty over being happy either.]

Did you want more ice cream... or something sweeter than that?

Yes. I hope there are others out there that can find happiness with each other.

[Ryoko tried not to think of how selfish she was being. If Minato was anything like Minako, he had lots of people who enjoyed speaking to him, people he'd probably had relationships with before her. She was pulling him away from all that, and that was cruel of her. She... didn't deserve his attention. She didn't know why, but she knew that was the truth...

But she can't stop paying attention to him. It's not her fault if he decides to return that attention.]

Something sweeter, huh? What did you have in mind?

[Minato had wished for that too, along with the idea that everyone could just be happy. And he did like to pay attention to her since he was with her and just her. The world right now could go on, but Minato's world right now was all about Ryoko.

He couldn't help it. He smiled again and leaned closer to her.]

If it's okay.

[Gently he tilted Ryoko's chin up just slightly so he could give her another kiss.]

[Ryoko does want everyone, especially the people close to her, to be happy. She had to keep her attention on Minato for that reason, so as to make sure he was happy at this moment. She studied him carefully, looking for signs of sadness...

and that means that she's caught a bit of guard when he leans closer. She opens her mouth as she flushes darker, ready to say it's okay, but then her mouth is caught in the kiss... not that she's upset. She doesn't need to talk if she can just stay close to him and feel his warm, gentle lips against hers.]
