I know you're on hiatus with the male me-that's kind of weird, by the way, but I guess at least he's cute-but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun on your days off, right? I'm so excited to see Minako-chan and the others again. I wonder if the boys have recovered from Mitsuru-sempai's execution. That was kind of harsh, don't you think? They were peeking, but the fact that they wanted to is a little flattering! Or at least, I thought it was flattering.

So anyways! Let's make the time we have count! I want to know what kind of exciting things we can do on these memes... and speaking of, what is that male me up to at that Tower place? He seemed really bummed...

You shouldn't be afraid to talk about it. I just want to help. I don't mind that we've just met. You're somone that needs help, and a version of one of my friends. I can't just leave you to struggle alone.

[Ryoko cautiously comes forward, one hand reaching out to him before clutching onto her scarf instead.]

Nah. Really, I shouldn't. For one, you'd think I'm insane. For another, I'm...not so sure you'd be wrong.

[He holds himself stiff. How'd he get talking about this? His gaze drifts upward momentarily, to where he can see Pharos laughing at him, but then snaps back down. Focus.]

I wouldn't think that of you... Please, Minato-kun. Let me help. Whatever's going on, as terrible and sick as it makes you feel, it'll be easier to get it off your chest.

[She cautiously follows Minato's gaze, and once again, swears she sees a flash of something, but it was too quick to gauge what it was.]

It...might just be stress or something. Insomnia, nightmares, lack of appetite, hallucinations, constant sense of dread, collapsing. I just...feel like the world's about to end, and like it's going to be my fault.

[There's a quiet, bitter laugh.] I'm going crazy, right?

...Not at all, Minato. Not at all.

[Sorry, but she can't really resist any longer. She steps a little closer, and one hand goes up to Minato's cheek. It's a move that seems a little forward, but she intended for it to be comforting. Perhaps, paired with her soft voice and gentle smile, it is.]

I know exactly how you feel. I mentioned I can't sleep often myself... During the day, I'm absolutely fine, but when I get back home, I get so scared... I can't even close my eyes, because I know I'll have nightmares... and even just staying awake, I have this feeling that everything's falling apart, and that I'm just making it worse. That I won't be able to save anyone, and I'll hurt the ones closest to me.

...That... That probably didn't help, but at least you know you're not alone, right?

[He nods vaguely, distractedly, at your words...

...But then your hand touches him and he feels a jolt like electricity running all through his body. In an instant that wave of dread builds up and hits with all the force of a tsunami. He drops to his knees, gritting his teeth against sudden pain, his hands clutching at his head.

Something is very, very wrong.]

[Immediately, Ryoko pulls her hand away as if burned, instead putting it up to her mouth as she gasps sharply.]

M-Minato-kun? What happened? Are you okay?

[She drops down beside him, almost reaching for him again before stopping her self, grabbing her wrist tightly.]

I-I can go! I didn't mean to hurt you!

[Give him a few minutes to recover. It'll pass, it'll pass, it always passes...

It's passed.] I...I'm okay... Y-You didn't do anything. Probably just a coincidence. [...He doesn't really believe that, as much as he wants to.]

...A coincidence? Does this happen to you a lot?

[Ryoko remains kneeling beside him, working at her lip. No matter what caused it, it's still very worrisome.]

Y...yeah. It's been getting more frequent, more intense. I don't know what's causing it.

[And it's left him with a horrid headache. He rubs at the bridge of his nose.]

Have you seen a doctor about it? It seems really serious.

[He nods.] They couldn't find anything wrong with me. Not a cause, anyway. Just the...lack of sleep and appetite. [He's considering asking Keisuke, but he doesn't need the whole school knowing he's hallucinating.]

...Are you going to be alright? I... I know they can't find anything more, but maybe you shouldn't be going to school if you're hurting so often.

I...I don't know. I don't know. Mitsuru-senpai'd have my head if I didn't go, though...

But wouldn't she understand if she knew you were this sick?

According to the doctors, I'm not sick. So there's no exempting me from class.

I see... That's not really fair to you. I wish there was some way you could feel better.

I'll be alright. If I'm not dead yet, I'm clearly not dying. Maybe insane, but not dying.

It's... still not good. Insane isn't much better. You need to be healthy and happy.
