Oh, come now, is this really necessary? You said yourself before that there wasn't a point to this, but you never can take someone to their word, believe me, I should know.

[ Or did, Helena. There have been many lies ]

I suppose that I shouldn't blame you, things have been interesting, but, if you care to remember, that is what I'm trying to step away from. If I let you let me say yes now it'll just be one adventure after another, and I'm trying to keep my promises this time.

But if what you're looking for is company then I'm sure that I have some of that left spare.

Nothing wrong with being a little daring.

I know all about the pleasures of that. Quite frankly, I think I need something a little different. What does it say when daring becomes boring?

That your original action was never 'daring' in the first place. Reinvention goes a very long way.

Darling, in my time I invented 'daring'. Or things for it.

And why say no to adventure?

Normally I wouldn't. But I've found something else that I'm growing attached too.

Normality. What used to be boring I now find absolutely fascinating, and wouldn't normal be nice?

I'm afraid I don't have much basis for judging one way or another.

Then it's something you've missed out on. It's wonderful.

The question is: how long before you do end up on an adventure anyway?

On what? I rather imagine us as staring at a road sign. ADVENTURE: THIS WAY. Little silly to drag your feet.

I would hope that I wouldn't need something quite so obvious to gain my attention.

It can be taken metaphorically.

Or even an obvious metaphor.

People do like to be obvious.

It can be quite entertaining, although subtlety can help better with any plans.

You definitely make good company if nothing else.

I'm glad that someone appreciates it.

... That said, it's a little hard to stay away from adventure around here. But you're pretty persuasive so maybe you'll have some luck.

If there's one thing that you can count on it's that I'll try. [ But try and fail, Helena's getting some adventures ]

But what I'm interested in right now is something else.

[Myka would expect nothing less.]

I know how much you're attached to your new life. I take it that's going well?

[Because Myka's life since she an HG parted ways? Not so super.]

Well, I was going to ask about you.

[ When a Myka pops up in your life you have to be curious, and happy ]

But it's better than when you left. We've talked a lot since then.

I'm glad, Helena. You deserve something good.

[She just shrugs in response the first remark, though.]

You know how it goes. Warehouse is in the danger, the end of the world is looming - just the usual.

I'm not the only one who does.

[ You're dear to her, Myka, you should be happy, she would love that for you ]

Usually that would get a little more excitement. The adventure, anyway, not so much the end of the world. [ She knows that part ]

[Maybe eventually, but right now Myka's own happiness is pretty out of reach for her. She's just glad HG's doing okay. She still misses her like hell but at least she's okay.]

Oh, it's exciting. You know I wouldn't give up this life but... A break every once in a while isn't sounding so bad these days.

What did you have in mind?

[ She wouldn't be a good friend if she didn't help, and seeing Myka without the added adventure would make a change. Starting with a drink, right? ]

I wouldn't complain about that coffee date you promised me.

[One on one time with one of her besties? That would cheer Myka up just enough.]

I think that I have a small space in my schedule coming up.

[ Kidding. She will clear that schedule ]

And I think I can work it in, too.

[Teasing right back but BRB totally clearing schedule.]

I think all that's left now is the where. [ Maybe when too, but if she had her way it could be tomorrow ] South Dakota is a little too close to it all, and I think that Wisconsin needs a little break.

I hear Minnesota is nice this time of year. [Myka's all ready to grab her car keys and go.]

Then what are we waiting for? [ And Minnesota will be ever more lovely with the two of them there ]

I'm already heading out the door. You better catch up.

I guess I should go the speed limit and give you a chance.

It's a good thing I'm not letting Pete drive. Speaking of which, you really should visit the Warehouse again sometime. Everyone misses you.

Everyone? [ There was a time when Helena would definitely have been certain that everyone was not everyone. Now she knows that it's more likely, but it's always safer to be certain ]

I'm not entirely certain as to whether that is the best plan.

I'm pretty sure you've earned your way back into everyone's good graces, Helena, not just mine.

I wish that I shared your optimism on that. A lot has happened between us all.

You died saving our lives. Yeah, maybe in an alternate reality but... It still happened. Artie wouldn't have gone up to bat for you against the Regents if he didn't believe that's who you really are.

I have to admit that I was surprised by that myself. [ Especially given Artie's first reactions to her, and then what she'd done since. She might have done something else, something sacrificial... but she hadn't expected it to change opinions so greatly ]

You're not going to start getting sentimental on me, are you? I do have a few limits.

I'll cut down on the sentimental if you promise not keep feeling sorry for yourself whenever I bring up the Warehouse.

[ But Myka, you know that's so difficult. So changing the subject like a pro, then? ]

I think that I should get starting on getting to Minnesota. I can't be late, now.
