Voice testin', canon is Grim Fandango
[D_M, there's a skeleton in here. A very irritated looking, runty skeleton in an expensive suit taking long drags off of an unfiltered cigarette. He stays silent for a few moments giving a world weary sigh and speaking up, his voice tinged with a heavy Mexican accent.]
Por favor mundane. Just leave me to rest in peace already. I've had enough adventure to last a lifetime.
Figuratively speaking, of course.

Hello, fellow Tim Schafer-ish creation o/
[Not that Black Velvetopia wasn't a fun visit at times.]
"Uh, Hey, why won't your mun let you rest?"
Hi-fives all around
That's what I'm worrying about. The buro said something about games, and that was about all I got.
Though he looks just a little too old to be playing with toys.
hooyahh! \o/
"Oh! I've heard about those! Apparently they're like portals to another world! My agent? She seems to think I'd be good at them because I travel a lot. Is uh, that something you do too?"
[Or whatever it is skeletons do.]

I'm no stranger to travel. Just thought the journey would be over by now.
And excuse me while I fangirl. .:D
You're here, so apparently your mun hasn't taken the hint.

[He pauses, rolling the cig between his fingers. It's burnt down to a stub at this point and he doesn't even care.]
I forget how the rest of it goes, but you know what I mean.
(unfortunately I caught you just as I heading out, but I'll be back!)
[Especially now that he gets to do it in a jet.]
"Come on. There must be something you still wanna do."
no subject
Just be mindful not to try the same thing over and over. It's insanity if you keep doing that and expecting a different result.
Hah. You know, I'm not accustomed to seeing civilized skeletons in my world.
My name is Elazul.
Alright, later!
I think a tropical vacation makes a pretty poor substitute for eternal rest, aye?

Manuel Calavera.
[He reaches into his coat and pulls out a pack of cigarettes, shaking out one into his hand and offering it to Elazul]

Most of the skeletons I see are armored like I am and attack passers-by without a thought. Generally, it's because people are near their grave sites and hate the noise of the living.
*Using his left hand, he holds the cigarette to his crystallized right hand, and creates a spark by snapping his fingers, using that to light the cigarette. He then brings the cigarette to his mouth, taking a hesitant pull, then starts coughing. Urgh, how embarrassing.*
no subject
[He leans forward and places a firm, cold hand on Elazul's shoulder.]
Easy there. Don't want to lose your lungs before everything else, eh?
no subject
*He doesn't mind the contact at all. If it's on his right shoulder, though (which is a giant rock formation that reaches almost to his hair line,) he doesn't even feel his hand. No nerve endings there.*
Besides, *Another slow pull, and he winces, clearing his throat as the urge to cough crops up again.* it's not like I'm fighting for my species' survival anymore. Ah, about 200 years of my life went to that.
*He grins wryly.* A little indulgence, in moderation. I'm still trying to better myself as a Knight. And besides that~, the oldest Jumi to ever live still has her wits about her. And she's breaking... 700? 800? 900 years? I forget....
no subject
Impressive. Doubt I'll be seeing you around my neck of the woods anytime soon, then.
no subject
*He winces and takes another drag of the cigarette, though it's still uncomfortable for him. And it seems to be an acquired taste....*
It's a complicated story, that.
no subject
[The sarcasm is almost palpable. He flicks the remains of his smoke to the ground and grinds it out with the heel of his shoe.]
I doubt it. People have left the Land of the Dead before, but you must be loco if you think I'm going to believe you just waltzed out of there.
mannyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

*He shrugs, and doesn't mind the sarcasm one bit. He doesn't care for the guy, either, even if he is a Wisdom of the world.*
Magic is commonplace in my world, and somehow a human managed to revive my entire race with the raw power of his empathy. He died in the process, due to being turned to stone due to the Jumi Curse. But, just like the miracle he created, we Jumi can make them, too. Our cores have healing properties, and they give us life. *He taps the skin near his core with a crystallized fingertip.*
All two-thousand or so of us combined our power to bring him back, and we did. Considering so many of us needed to do so to revive one human, the realization of just what he did for us is... even if we revived him, it's a debt that is impossible to properly repay.
*He shakes his head.*

Well, if it's any consolation, I'm sure he got his just rewards.
Good deed like that doesn't go by without getting a spot on your record, you know?
don't get your hopes up, I'm pretty bad at this.
I wouldn't be where I am now if I was lucky.
Guess I could stand to wait a little while longer, at least.
no subject
I'm... not sure I understand. A "spot on your record"? That's not a phrase I'm familiar with.
no subject
You'll understand it sooner or later. Probably later.
no subject
*Welp, he's at a loss right now. What do? Uh... smalltalk...?*
What's your world like?
we all start somewhere

[Though a tropical vacation doesn't sound so bad to him!]
"Hmm. So you think your mun won't let you go back to sleep until you play a game with him? Have you tried sleeping anyway? What if someone hits you like really, really hard?"
