My misery only brings you amusement. I knew that from the beginning, so I know I'm powerless to stop it, but I'm not going to encourage you by reacting.

I know you'll simply use my feelings against me as usual. You pretend to care, but really, it's only to find out what makes me tick, and how to break me.

Anything you do will never be enough. I'm already broken.

But anyway! Stuff like this... I can't help but want to protect you. *And hugs. Hugs are nice but still a little odd for him.*

As for protecting... It's hard to do anything else but try to.

It's more likely that I will have to protect you. It's my duty to defend the Earth, and anyone who lives upon it.

*He scowls a little, but Shadow will probably notice that it has no additional negative feeling in it at all, now that they've been around each other for some time now. It's more like he's... pouting?*

... Is it impossible for you to return to your world?

There is a slim chance that it is not impossible on my own, but I know little of the portal that brought me here in the first place. Magic and sorcery is not something I am even remotely proficient in.

And dimensional transportation is not something that my core is capable of while granting me life. It can only grant different miracles after... extraction.

*He winces.*

If I could find an artifact of some kind that has the same capabilities as my core, I probably could return home. ...I think. There is also the possibility of waiting for someone to follow me.

How did you end up in my dimension in the first place?

[ He thinks about the Chaos Emeralds... they probably would be able to help Elazul, but he needed them to stay in this dimension. ]

I fell asleep reading a book in the Magic Academy's library... I was curious about... something. Theory with perfecting magical instruments, I think?

*He rubs his face with his flesh hand.*

I heard Nunuzac and the students start shouting and screaming, and I woke up, and before I knew it, I was swallowed up by vacuum that the portal created.

It just appeared? You didn't create it?

[ He can't say for sure that Chaos Control was ever created without his knowing... ]

No, I didn't create it, and I'm not sure who did. It was either one of the students or Nunuzac. Not that Nunuzac is inept, but... well, he did botch a spell so badly it left him in the shape of a discus.

I see.

Is the portal random? Or does someone have to choose a destination? [ A beat. ] If it's the former, than it's unlikely you will ever return to your world.

*He rubs his face.*

I don't know. I was asleep until it was too late to run.

*Even though... it would be sad to never return, he has purpose here too.*

[ Nods. ]

Should I find a way for you to return to your world, I will notify you.

...Alright.

*He's not going to say "thank you" because somehow that feels weird to even think. Why should he say that when he really doesn't mind staying?*

Admittedly, I have rather low hopes of finding a way, so do not feel that you must find one at all costs. There is time yet.

That should be obvious; I'm not going to waste my time looking for it. But if I happen to find it, I shall inform you.

In the meantime, I have an entire planet to defend.
