 I'm not sure what you hope to accomplish by putting me here. I mean, I'm as hopeful as you are that a game will take me, or that I'll finally get to meet Amon himself in person. I could be a great asset to the cause if I could get into contact with him, I'm sure of it.

But I also run the risk of running into my family here. They won't understand. This is my path, like the warriors in the books I've read. They always stuck to their paths even when their families didn't understand. I just... want them to know I'm still theirs, even if everything has changed for me. If they don't listen, I don't know what I'll do. The revolution is coming and they're not prepared to see reason. I need to reread that book on that new field of study into how families work, I guess.

Either way, good luck with the game search. Something tells me we'll need it.

Bands of Benders have formed gangs that bully, extort and kill innocent people every day. The remaining Airbenders live in luxury while nonbenders starve in the street. People without Bending aren't represented in the city council at all, and are left without a voice. The balance is so skewed it can't be fixed by the Avatar. All she does is break things and make them worse.

So, the first solution you've come to that makes the most sense is to completely remove a set of skills from the world. Skills that have existed for centuries. Skills that have allowed for the advancement and progression of society by leaps and bounds.

Have we come so far that bending is just no longer necessary? Or useful at all? Nothing of worth would be lost to the world at large?

Technology has advanced. It can replace bending and sustain the people. I've read books, I've seen the economic theories. It can be done, and we're going to do it. With Amon taking away criminal's abilities to bend people are already safer. Gangs are starting to get afraid to do all the horrible things they used to. And soon, when the revolution is in full swing, no one will have to be afraid of bending ever again. We'll live in perfect harmony with one another.

Yes, and no. Eventually the world will lose all bending.

It's human nature to seek out advantages to put them above others. Even without bending what's to stop those in power from using other tools to keep them in position? There are skills greater then the elements after all.

But this will take away the biggest advantage that benders have over nonbenders. Personality traits are one thing, powers that kill, given out at random, are another.

She just loves getting into these arguements, I hope it's not a pain.

One could argue however, that bending is only a tool.

It is not the bending that causes the humans to misbehave. It's the humans that misuse the tools they have been given.

Treating a symptom will not eliminate the disease.

It helps me voicetest Jinora, so I welcome it!

But it will help us isolate the disease so it can be treated. Power corrupts; by taking away what causes people to be sick, only the worst will grow ill. They can be dealt with via due process and a fair court made up of unbiased nonbenders.

And if power corrupts how do you plan on keeping the non-benders in power from growing corrupt?

By making the court random people instead of city leaders.

That's up to Amon to decide.

Random people can still be biased. They can be manipulated and they can be bought.

Amon is our leader. He can take people's bending away. And he'll find a way to solve all problems. The spirits have given him guidance.

And what proof has he given that the spirits are guiding him?

He can remove people's bending because the spirits gave him the power. There's no other explanation.

I'm not so convinced.

But more importantly, can you put all your faith in the spirits when they were the ones who brought bending into the world to begin with?

So much of your plans are based upon humans doing the right thing instead of what is in their nature. Policing their behavior by human means rather then trusting in the spirits to punish them.

They wouldn't have brought Amon into being if this wasn't what they wanted. They want this, this revolution, this change. The avatar has failed and this is the result.

I trust in Amon's plans. There's going to be problems, people who are corrupt, but we can still make the world better.

You are idealistic...something I remember well.

The world needs people like you who want to make it better. Who are willing to purge the monsters from it for the safety of others.

But we need all the advantages we can get to combat human nature. Removing bending would be placing an unnecessary handicap on good honest people who have done nothing wrong.

Sounds to me like you're no better then those you're trying to overthrow if you're taking that approach.

Cold calculating logic can only take a society so far. It requires compassion and empathy.
