A voice that just won't give in.

It's been a long time...Funny that it only took a few minutes and some pictures to bring me back. But, you've always said I had a strong spirit, but that's just a nice way of saying that I'm stubborn, isn't it? [Syaoran smiles, just a little and sighs.]

Though I'm not sure either of us are enjoying this review. It's hard, remembering how it was back then, how simple it was before Tokyo. And yet, it still hurts the same as when it first happened. The look on her face when she opened her eyes and looked at me.

We knew nothing, and If you take me back to that city, I'll still know nothing. All the people I'm going to hurt, do you want to go through with that again? You know I'll follow you to the end, but... just remember, it's all for her. It always is...no matter what happens.

[No, she won't agree that you're stubborn, at least not out loud. But she does think you are, in the very best of ways. And it makes her smile.]

My mun refuses to let me learn anything that happens after Recourt. She thinks it's for my own good, but...I wish I knew, so I could help if I can. I know it must not be good if it worries her so. And if it worries you.

But no matter where you go, you'll always be Syaoran-kun, and you'll always be a wonderful person.

[The somber look is immediately uplifted and replaced by a smile. Nothing can keep him from smiling when he sees her face. Even the loss of her memories.]

Well, I would have to agree with her. It's not a happy story, I'm sorry to say. And I still don't know much of it, only what i've been told the last time I was in Adstringendum. Just...i've hurt people, that's all. [Even you. Though, he's thankful that isn't who he is right now. He hasn't lost what he was given yet, and hopefully he won't even lose it if he has anything to say about it.]

It isn't often a princess is beloved by all her subjects, but you make it look easy.

Perhaps, it shall a different experience for you, sir. I do not know when you first arrived to Adstringendum, though I would hardly believe that there shall be no differences for you.

I'm sure it will be...there were a few cruel things that happened to me while I was present in the city.

I won't carry that burden when I come back. Though not remembering my friends that are still there will be a little hard. I don't think I knew you...you probably came after I had already left, sir.

Although it is a shame that you will lose your memories, you could continue to make new companions! Or your old friends will remember you, and they shall continue from there!

I'm not so certain I have very many of my old friends left in the city...though my mun is rather excited for me to get into contact with Sheik again. We had an odd sort of understanding.

I think I would have to agree. Her optimism doesn't seem to end, ever.

She always knew how to cheer me up too.

That's what makes it so strong.

She isn't invulnerable to despair herself though, so you have to watch her carefully.

No human is. It is often those with the kindest hearts that feel pain most keenly.

Full of love for everyone else...makes it easier for them to be hurt, with all that empathy. [The princess is the same way...]

In the end, she'll be alright. She's Sakura, after all.

But don't worry, she's well looked after. [No, that's not a slightly creepy look at all. Which is strange because he seems to carry genuine fondness for the girl.]

[It is almost enough to make him feel a little uneasy. But...he seems sincere.]

Then I suppose I have nothing to worry about, at least where her well-being is concerned.

Syaoran-san! [ Look at this happy face. ] It's been forever!

It has! [And the look on his face, well. He's feeling like a weight is lifted from his chest. He's missed you, Watanuki. And it was sad to try and recall himself the last time they talked because he wasn't all there.]

I've really missed you...And I'm sorry for leaving like I did. I'm still not completely here, there are bits and pieces i'm still picking up, but i'm stronger than I was.

I know that things have been tough... [ There is a pleasant smile on his face. ] ...Since you've been gone, I haven't been myself either... a piece was missing...

But! [ And he offers the other a thumbs up. ] No matter how long it takes you to feel 100%, Syaoran-san, I'll be there to help!

Maybe we can mend each other. It's worked before, hasn't it?

[He returns the look, moving forward to offer the other boy a hug.] And I will always appreciate it.
