Now— I do believe it is somewhat customary to exhalt about how the paths the Fates have led us are, at best, undesirable.

Quite the contrary — I lean towards the submissive spectrum and have no qualms doing so, in, ah, taking the yoke, as it were. I do, however, dislike being without structure, goals. Makes for monotonous ambling, wouldn't you say?

And so it is. A rather barbaric practice, I suppose, but much better than lying dormant in the mind.

I find dormant considerably more preferable than the alternative. Generally speaking.

I don't think being called impulsive is as much of an insult as you seem to think it is.

There are a plethora of things that are more insulting. Inaction, for one, so I suppose I should give the lady upstairs brownie points for that one.
