for the fresh new icons, game, and the possibility of a second game...
Dearest miss-- [Said with an air of sharp-tongued irritation; he still wants to be polite though.]
I quite appreciate the time and effort spent on those little boxes for... what I assume is my sake [ALTHOUGH HE HIGHLY DOUBTS THIS, CONSIDERING] but I can assure you that one game is enough--for the both of us.
Oh, it's not as if I wanted a holiday of sorts... [Yes, he wanted a holiday; from everything related to this metaspace and all others. Alas! One cannot always have what one wants.]
A-at any rate... At the end of the day, all I really truly ask for is that you spend your upcoming leisure time wisely. Flattering though all this is I think you ought to enjoy the weather on the rare occasions it's decent outside. O-or--reread your favorite novels!
I'm of the mind that one should spend one's precious moments as wisely as one can.
Now, I've one more question, if you don't mind me asking...
Why the bloody hell are you still awake?!

[ But aren't they so pretty! Well, some of them. ]
Ah, going somewhere without America? Does she want to send you somewhere with--
[ What was that other one's name? The one that doesn't belong to her mun... ]

[allows himself a small sigh.]

[ She smiles cheerily in spite of his exasperated sighing. ]
Well, she likes having you meet new people. That's something to be happy about, at least.
[ Yes, she's grossly optimistic normally. ]

[It's okay Cecil. England has experience in dealing with people who are grossly optimistic.]

[ America may have let it slip once or twice that the whole "nation island" thing is sometimes an excuse England uses, so she's shooting it down preemptively. Just in case. ]

[IT IS KIND OF A BARRIER OK. Dammit Alfred.]

...Wait, I thought the headspace was your vacation!
[ It certainly is to him, after all. Well, except for the fighting. Nobody likes the fighting. But everything else is pretty damn good, when you think about! What's to need a vacation from? ]

Not that... not that there aren't certain things that are very--ah--very good about...
[He clears his throat and shoves his hands into his pockets.]
It's the more unpleasant things I could do without, that's all!

[ He smirks a little at that. But he's relieved to hear that the older nation doesn't find their time together taxing. ]
I don't think she's trying to make you miserable all the time. You're just way too uptight, so everything becomes terrible.

It's not a break what she needs, it's motivation. I'm being motivational, that's all.

it makes no sense -- at all. that even by observing him there is such a strong feeling of britain that she could never mistake, never misplace no matter the shape, appearance or sound.
but it's only one man, only a person -- and britain was a country. a glorious, great country that king arthur could not uphold. she does not understand why looking at him makes her feel ashamed. ]
..What are you?

You are not human, correct?

But--please, Arthur Kirkland is fine, really.
I'm sorry, you're certain you're alright...?

and if he were, would she have the gall to face him as the king who had 'fathered' him? look him in the eyes with any measure of pride for all her great failures? it is no easy thing to display one's heart -- and yet there's a narrowing of her eyes. ]
You speak madness. Do you take me for a fool? What blasphemy do you speak that you would claim to be Britain?
[ and yet her heart aches. the grief, of countless, immeasurable years weighs on it, something she'd abandoned. and in turn, with it comes regret, shame, and that all-consuming love that had spurned her to pull the sword in the first place. ]
I will not deny I felt it keenly when I saw you, but a single form could not hope to capture the glory of that land.
