New muse settling in
Hey, hey. No way. Absolutely no way. An--Hey! You can't make me participate in anything following the any of the "bad" endings.
...No, you really don't have to try to get all of them, either. We're not doing anything from them. Don't you have other things you need to be working on?!
...No, you really don't have to try to get all of them, either. We're not doing anything from them. Don't you have other things you need to be working on?!

[His are fairly clean deaths most of the time, but there are a couple that make the words 'bad endings' traumatic for life.]
no subject
You don't wanna know.
no subject
That bad? I suppose I really shouldn't have asked, then, my apologies...you really have to wonder why mundanes like these bad endings so much. Happy ends are so much better, if you ask me. [Unless you count some of his good ends. They're pretty traumatic, too.]
At least you're not being neglected, to stay on the bright side?
no subject
Don't worry about it. I think mine just likes the "drama". [Bleh, that word.] Good endings are definitely better, even if they're not immediately "good".
But yeah, I guess that's true, isn't it? [A short laugh.] Just wish it wasn't with them looking at my failures to help those guys. [What do you call your route partners in whitespace? This fourth wall thing, how does it work--]
no subject
Pretending they don't exist until they give in works well, too!
...I think I'm having too much fun with talkfaces. Oops.
well... I think they're holding off until the patch is finished.
I'll definitely be giving thought to the pretending they don't exist idea, though.
no subject
no subject
Yeah, I... guess that's true. But...
Appreciating the good because of knowing the failures is one thing, but I still don't want to start from those failures. Not with where it leaves those guys. Or me.
no subject
Even if it's a painful start it's still a start. And sometimes things just have to... Run their course. Even if it's rough.
no subject
Mm... But-- I don't think anything good can come out of some of these. My player hasn't gotten a hold of the expanded material since they don't read well enough for it, so maybe that'll change things, but...
Some of the "good" endings are trying enough without facing things like... [Like what happens with Noiz or Ren, for instance.]
no subject
Please just try not to be too pessimistic, all right? Being so tied up in things early will be even more draining for you. And like I said, if nothing else the bad endings can be taken as a lesson.
no subject
You're right.
I'll try to stay positive about it. There's nothing decided on, after all, so things can always change, can't they.
no subject
And that's right. Even if things seem bad they can sometimes have good outcomes when the real end comes.
no subject
Not sure I can totally shake the worry, to be honest, but that way of thinking... I think I can do that. Seen it happen, after all, right?
[Even though someone still has bouts of wishing a certain set of circumstances could have possibly gone differently if a different set of requirements had been met.]
no subject
You don't have a choice. [ STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. so, maybe he's a little bothered by the idea of the bad endings. ]
no subject
[That brat! Those bad endings of his are so beyond "not okay to start from" that it's ridiculous! Don't even with the attitude. He'll use the "stern teacher" technique on him, just like the other brats. Don't tempt him!]
no subject
[ huff! it's how he deals with things, okay. it's like a coping mechanism except way worse. the only indication he gives that he does care is the light shove to his shoulder and a twitch of his lips. uh, yeah. that works, right? ]
Going to beg next?
no subject
You little...
[Oh, he is such an uncute brat. He lets himself he shoved since it isn't too much, but... HAIR RUFFLING. For the sake of messing it up hardcore. Raaagh, this is punishment.]
Yeah, right! I'm not whining, either. I'm making a point!
no subject
Yeah? And how's that working out for you?
no subject
Pouting at you. Right. At. You.]
What if I said it's working just fine?
no subject
I'd say you're lying. They do what they want.
no subject
Yeah, and? Maybe I've convinced them that my point's better.
[...He hasn't.]
no subject
[ because it's never worked for him, okay, so clearly it hasn't for aoba. ]
no subject
Says who?
no subject
Did you?
no subject
...
...
...
...Not yet.
no subject
I knew it. [ SO SMUG. ]
no subject
That doesn't mean anything. It could still happen! [no get that look off your face right now young man]
no subject
Yeah? You think so? I doubt it. [ nope never. keep it up and he might actually laugh. what is moral support. ]
no subject
I do. [Brat.] You know, you really shouldn't be such a pessimist about someone else's circumstances. [In Noiz's case, moral support is a miserable pile of fussy!ba? Go take lessons from Clear and Koujaku on being supportive!
or well not from Koujaku because the damage control would be impossible]no subject
You shouldn't. [ pipsqueak. ] I just don't get my hopes up. [ ever. ha. if he tried to imitate koujaku, it wouldn't be in a way aoba would enjoy, let's be honest. loud, abrasive, lame, sigh. ]
If you have to convince them, you're doomed. [ yep, check out that realism. he may or may not be messing with him at this point. ]
no subject
Why not? [Uncute!] It's not about getting your hopes up, it's about changing someone's mind. [As for imitating, it's to figure out how to be supportive, not for stand-up!]
But doomed? That can't be true all the time. [Gosh, Noiz. Pessimism is not realism! People aren't all horrible manipulators--...okay, that might not be the case with players, but shh, he hasn't learned that yet.]
no subject
Maybe if you bribed them. [ a shrug! people always want something, okay. it's basically a rule of life. it's just a matter of figuring out what they want and using it as leverage. so maybe it is pessimism. ]
no subject
[Bland monotony?] I can be very convincing when I want to be. [Have a look, Noiz. Oh, of course Noiz hasn't tried threats. That would be so ill-matched to his personality. And Koujaku was an example. An example! For how to be supportive since someone's awful at it! Then again, it's probably like getting blood from a stone, isn't it?]
Bribe them? [They do, yeah. But...] I don't know if there'd be any way to, considering. [Even if you ignore that he probably wouldn't.]
no subject
Everyone wants something. [ squint. ] What do they want? Aside from your suffering. [ ~supportive~ ]
no subject
Not everyone and not always. [Brow arch. And ajsdfnoiz.] Aside from that, all I know is that they know they want something "different". Whatever that means.
no subject
"Different". [ yeah, he's just going to repeat that like it's a foreign concept, but ah — ] Nothing good, probably. Especially since you said something about "bad endings".
[ godspeed aoba. ]
no subject
Yeah... [And hands go straight to pockets, shoulders pinching upwards. Maybe vaguely kinda sorta hiding. Maybe.] They got all of them, but I might apparently be spared until some time in September. Depending...
no subject
Why September? [ so aoba's working with a ticking clock. interesting. his brow creases, taking in the body language. ] What's that depend on?
no subject
Patch. [Ticking clock that's running out. And he's really not looking forward to the fact that he knows his player is going to go straight for the bad ends, again. Once is really enough.] Since that's the estimated release month.
no subject
[ it's an... attempt. ]
no subject
"Get weird"? [Noiz, really?] I know I'm stuck, but what's that supposed to mean? [...It's a fair attempt.]
