What am I doing.
Oooi. Don'tcha think you should slow down a little? You barely remember anything about anything past a certain point. Not to mention, you just started re-reading and watching everything a couple of days ago.
[ .. Nope. Doesn't seem like the mun's listening. A mutter. ]
The ones that rush into battle are the first ones to die, y'know.

-- Either way, "idiot" is a pretty harsh way of putting it, dont'cha think? You might wanna re-word that one, Yu. Spare some of their feelings.

Besides, you're new. Give yours a chance to come up with some sort of plan for you. If you've got any sense you'll see where your priorities should be. [Which means you might not. He's never really sure how much sense you have, Lavi.
Also, the warning about his forename--that should go unsaid by now, hm? Don't make him tell you again...]

Sometimes we just call out from the darkness, right? At least... that sounds properly dramatic. Needless to say my mundane is probably just as rusty and behind as yours might be.

Sounds to me like you're speaking from experience. What kinda terrors did yours try to throw you into, huh?
[ And he grins. Oh, and he remembers that warning all too well. He's just living on (what he refers to as) the "dangerous side". What's life without a little risk, after all?

-- I mean, we've only fought side-by-side on a handful of missions, at the very least. Or do those not count, Yu?

[ Although, really -- if you wanted to get technical, it depended on what game you were thrown into. ]

[ A rub of his neck. Allen does have a point, even if it's slight. A brief pause, and then -- he's back to "goofy"-Lavi. ]
But! It probably wouldn't be right, not taking the wise words of a bean-sprout into consideration. [ A lopsided grin; he's teasing. ] 'Sides, you two look like you're getting along well. Seeing as how we're all in the same boat, I'd hope things go just as smoothly for us.

[A pause.]
I hope things do go well. I have to admit; I've been kinda lonely. It's good to see you, I guess.

Over five years? Nothing I haven't handled.
I've seen more of the idiot beansprout than I'd like though. And his damn father. [If you can believe that. Clearly Kanda still finds it rather absurd.]
There have been too many damn deserts too. [And he was stuck without Mugen in one of them. He even had to have another person as his weapon for a while, but he's not going to go sharing that part.]
And now this guy's got it into his head to take my memories so that I'll think I'm someone else. [Which, btw, Kanda thinks is one of the worst ideas his mun has ever had.
But enough about him.] Why? Trying to imagine what yours might dream up? Could probably think of something to do with those parasites inside of you. [He might just be being cruel for the sake of it there. What was that about risk and the dangerous side?]

But, you know -- a kind word every now and then wouldn't kill you.

~[ He nods at the other, a tiny grin forming on his features. ]
Right, right; good to see you too. And I'll pretend I didn't hear that "I guess". I didn't think I'd get to see so many familiar faces so quickly, but -- the more the merrier, right?
[ Pause. ] Speaking of -- who else hangs around here, besides for you and Yu?

She never explained fully, but my guess is that it's something she'd need to be up-to-date for. And she's pretty far from it.
no subject
[He groans a bit.]
She and I didn't part on very good terms after all... There are things that I won't forgive her for.
[Allen gives Lavi a knowing look, but says nothing more. You can wail on Allen all you like; but do NOT touch his friends.]
no subject
[ Especially after taking the look on his face into consideration. ]
[ Ah, well. He gets points for trying, at least. ]

-- It's all gotta beat rotting away in the dark somewhere, though; right? [ No, something's telling Lavi that Kanda would probably prefer that. ]
Maybe this is your guy's way of saying he cares about you. Or maybe he's some kinda sadist. [ It's probable. He guesses. ] Who's he want to make you think that you are, anyway?
[ Such a long pause after that "parasite" remark; he felt that one, whether he'll admit it or not. Lavi might've earned himself some kind of remark, but -- ]
Curiosity, was all; you know what they say about that kinda thing. I couldn't help myself.
.. [ Another pause. ] Either way -- I doubt she's got it in her to do something like that.
no subject
[ One look is all he needs; he gets the hint. Hell, how could he forget? ]
[ Time to switch the topic before things got any more heavy. ]
So, Allen; has your mun taken you anywhere yet? I've heard a couple of things about the "games" here. [ Some were interesting. Some? Horror stories in the making. ]
no subject
no subject
[ Yeah, okay, so Bookmen have some skill, don't push it. ]
no subject
As for rotting in the dark, the swordsman shrugs.] I hadn't really thought about it.
[Actually though, Kanda doesn't have it so bad, especially compared to some he's seen pass through this place--he's never been killed, experimented on, tortured, held in a prison or asylum, never been sex swapped, gender swapped, alignment swapped, dressed in women's clothes, or aphro'ed. And he's the one who usually gets to be the sadist. It could be a lot worse. But none of that's an excuse to get all sappy and start talking about people caring. Better to be irritated about this whole false memories thing.]
I don't know, some damn blacksmith in some little English village. The beansprout's there too. [Kanda snorts a laugh thinking of Allen's misfortune in this little verse.] He thinks he's some kind of bookkeeper. Idiot can't even move his left arm. [Yet.
Anyway, seems you're in luck, Lavi: curiosity hasn't killed the rabbit (this time).]
Even if she doesn't have the stomach for those bugs, don't go expecting to lead some charmed life now that you're here. Reading and watching things always seems to give them ideas.
Has she whispered her plans to you yet? You don't have to wait--if you listen closely you can hear the crackle of them forming in their minds. [It's possible that he's just trying to creep you out now, btw.]
