Well, this is a surprise! What am I to make of this place, hm? I would like to explore, though I am hesitant. There are many who do not seem to like being brought here.

[She fixes her Mun with a curious gaze.]

Do they know something that I do not?

Not that long. It's only been a couple of weeks, and my mundane has allowed me contact with some of the Pigmasks.
But I would still prefer being able to speak with Master Porky directly again.

[briarose]

Pigmasks? Is that what you call your group? [Porky, Pigmasks... It's all coming together. She is now imagining pigs with masks following an even bigger pig called Master Porky.]

[psimera]

Yes - a portion of it, anyway. I am Master Porky's Pigmask Commander.

[And she's not all that far off there, actually. Swap the pigs into people wearing - well, pig masks - and you've got everyone but Master Porky down.]

[briarose]

What do you do? [Regardless it sounds cute. She's all for it.]

[psimera]

Command the Pigmasks, of course. Beyond that, my current assignment is to pull all of our world's Needles.

[No don't be all for it you haven't heard about any of the horrifying bits yet they will change your mind so fast Aurora -]

[briarose]

Needles? [Okay now she is less of a fan.] What do you do with the Needles?

[psimera]

The Needles are - manifestations of magic sealing a Dragon beneath the Nowhere Islands. Master Porky is unable to pull them - besides me, there is only one other we know of who is able - so I am pulling them for him.

[briarose]

So you are trying to free the dragon? Why would you do that?

[psimera]

The Dragon is able to - recreate or manipulate worlds, and will do so based on the intentions of the one who frees it. I am passing on Master Porky's request for him.

[briarose]

That sounds dangerous. I'm not sure if anyone should possess that power.

[psimera]

[briarose]

What if Master Porky uses the dragon to hurt people? Or to control them?

[psimera]

Then that's Master Porky's choice. I believe he has his plans already decided on, however.

[You are asking these questions of entirely the wrong kid, here.]

[briarose]

You wouldn't try to stop him? What about your friends and your family?

[psimera]

I am a chimera. I do not have either. [He might actually be able to say he does have the former, maybe, but he's not sure if it'd count or not.]

[briarose]

Can you tell me more about being a chimera? I've never met someone like you before.

[psimera]

[Well, this is becoming nearly rote by now, to the point that he's tempted to close his eyes and outright recite it.]

A chimera is a being reconstructed from a biological base with genetic and cybernetic upgrades. In my case, only cybernetic.

[Not that... Aurora's likely to know what that means... But the Commander isn't aware of that.]

[briarose]

[That...goes right over her head. Miles above her head, actually.]

I...don't understand. [At all.] You are not human, so maybe...

You look at things differently, right? Have you ever cared about someone?

[psimera]

Master Porky. The Pigmasks. The other chimeras.

[briarose]

What if the dragon hurts them?

[psimera]

It will not harm Master Porky, as it is his intentions that will be passed onto it.
The rest of us will have completed our purposes with Master Porky obtaining the Dragon, so we will be shut down. Even if the Dragon were to want to harm us, it would not matter.

[briarose]

That... [Her voice trembles.] makes me sad.

[psimera]

...I don't understand. We will have completed our purposes, so there will not be reason for us to remain functional.

[No Commander explaining what you consider logical reasoning is not how you comfort people.]

[To be honest, though he is programmed to accept that fate and is fine with it happening to him, it does make him slightly uncomfortable to think about the rest of the chimeras and the Pigmasks being 'shut down.' Still, it's Master Porky's will.]

[briarose]

I think you and the rest of the chimeras deserve better. You have done a lot for Master Porky. Why can't you be given a chance to live?

[psimera]

We will have completed our tasks. There is no point to functioning without a purpose.

[He's - pretty much just repeating and rephrasing what he's already said, though. He doesn't have much reasoning beyond that, because it's logical to him.]
