Your century did have overwhelming birthrates and were responsible for a wide cover of deforestation and poisoned plant tonics.

No one saved you. You created a mess, so you had to clean it up yourselves.

You're looking at the bad side. To me, it was already screwed. The fact you guys existed and regenerated anything means we won.

I am merely stating fact. Your century did not begin to show promise again until the very end.

Sure. Think about it. You have how much responsibility? Are you the only one doing your job? Will anyone remember you? As far as I am concerned you're a future me. An uptight, no fun future me. I am even going to assume you exist because of me.

[ Patience retains her expression of disinterest. ] Whether or not I am remembered is of little concern to me. In the grand scheme of things, if I am forgotten, it shall make no difference. My life is not for memories. It is for dedication and duty.

In the end, you existing proves partying now and then is a good thing. Imagine if the world ended because I didn't party.

I have never once "partied", and so long as I live till my termination day, I shall never partake in the kind.

I was once told you can't save a world you are not a part of. Then again, he also told me I,d die before I turned 30. Maybe he was just a pessimist.

It is not the world I am charged to defend. The world is for super-powered, racially gifted individuals. The world is only a fraction of the Essentials. Time, Reality...with great innovation, there are those who would tear apart reality for their own selfish purposes.

Those are my duties.

Reality has a fun habit of resetting itself. The world is the reflection of which all reality puts its impression on. Next time it might not be people though, so I am sort of invested in this reality.

Time is a bit out of my league, but if I meet a time traveller I promise I will slip a pipe bomb into their pocket or something.

They threaten the very fabrics of Being and Been. And there are far too many for our preferences. Ever since the first machine was stolen in the year of 2993.

You know, the least people could do is enjoy the world and not try to wreck it after we did so much work stopping the last big bad end.

But there are those who are selfish, and do not care if everything falls apart around them. Only that they get their unencumbered way.

I guess that's not much different than those who wanted to pull the plug on the whole reality thing just because.

It's not. They have their excuses. Wanting to save a loved one -- in actuality, they cause the fabric of Time to crinkle about the person, making their own Being a constant fluctuation towards Been. Wanting to "better the world" -- actually causing time to fracture, turning monuments to rubble and towns to ash, with only complete erasure returning the timeline to fitting form. Or those who are eager to echo the villains of the past, and desire to rule the galaxies.

No matter the reason, they are all Disruptors and Conjoiners, and it is imperative that they are stopped.
