Voicetesting: Canon is Kino's Journey
Excuse me, mun.
I'm sorry, but as a traveler, I only stay for three days in any given country. This way, I can visit as many lands as possible. So I believe it's somewhat useless to be looking around at all these "games" here.
[Kino can only assume that those are part of the culture of the place she's in now--where ever it is.]
After all, if I understand correctly, most would require me to settle down for longer than that.
[A pause. She looks around, curiously but not too anxiously.]
And where have you put Hermes?

Well, if I guess if I'm not forced to settle down, then I'd be fine with it. These games really do have strange rules... [She mutters this last part to herself and wonders when places she's visited weren't peculiar in one way or another.]
If you don't mind me asking, how could I find this game?

[It's bending the rules a bit, but they technically don't stay in one place, so that still counts. Sort of.]
There are a few where you're on a moving ship. Or turtle.

I suppose that as long as we're still on the move, it would be okay if the city stayed the same. I assume that the people would probably be from a lot of different places.
[And that's a big reason for why she travels in the first place, isn't it? To see how various people live their lives.]

[She smiles and glances at the man's attire. He doesn't appear to be from any of the countries she's visited.]
What kind of land did you come from?
no subject
Me? I come from the very far away land of...New York City.
no subject
[His land's name is different from what she's accustomed to. Usually a country is named after a peculiar aspect of its culture--Land of Books, for example--but Kino doesn't have any idea what a "York" is. In fact, she doesn't know what a Native American is, either.]
I apologize for all the questions, but what is it like in the... Land of New York City? [The name even sounds strange flowing off her tongue!]
no subject
[This is fine, most people here don't know either, and that makes him feel special. In fact he is very special indeed.]
Lulz, it's a city in the State of New York, which is a part of the United States of America, which is a part of the planet Earth.
[Maybe it would be best if he just showed her the Wiki page on his iPhone.]

Congratulations! You've successfully confused Kino! xDShe hears the words coming out of his mouth, but Earth is the only name she recognizes. She lives there, too--or at least, she used to. But none of the stories she's heard or read have ever mentioned a United States of America. Regardless, the phone is more familiar, though brighter than the ones she's used to.]Ah, so you come from a place that has advanced technology. I've been to some similar places. It seems that the machines do the work so the people wouldn't have to, but I've been to a country where people worked anyway so they wouldn't become lazy.
[She stops and thinks.] Are the people in your country able to fly?
no subject
He and the rest of the Illuminati confuse everyone XD.But hey! She at least knows what a cell phone is! That's a good thing, right? At least they weren't entirely at a loss anyway.] Yes and no, people still have to do manual labor, la sigh. But at least that means nobody is going to he completely fat!And yes, we can fly. Most of the world has that ability.
