I've only ever left Kentucky once, how one earth do you expect me to make it in space? I don't like it. Whose gonna tend to the croops? David's not worth a lick when it comes to the land... six months is a hell of a long time... Are you sure about this? I'm not.

Well now, I think your mundane's got the right of it, son. The place could surely benefit from more Kentuckians and it doesn't matter much where you've been or not been before.

You sure of that, sir? I mean I didn't get the best of education neither. I'm quite willin' to do what I have to do to get by, but this seems like a place that a man would need more then keen wit and a bit of know how to handle.

I ain't normally so self doubting. Its this whole space bit. I ain't ever heard of Kentuckians in space.

It ain't a common thing, I will grant you that. But I'm a Kentucky boy without a lot of formal education either and I'm doin' all right there. There's plenty of jobs for a man who don't mind workin' for a livin'. That's more than you can say for a lot of places back home.

That's a bit of a relief, if another fellow from back home can get by without much of education. Then maybe it's god's will I do this.
