on decision making
To quote your strange friend in the box, I informed you thusly.
You knew that two games would be too much for you to handle, and here we are, considering a third. While I am flattered by your devotion to me, this is ridiculous. I am rotting away in two worlds, and all you can think of is a train.
And your excuse that it "isn't technically me," isn't helping your case. Different worlds, different paths that were tread or not, this endeavour of yours is foolish. One of these needs to end. Either the randomized shenanigans in one place, one of the new worlds you brought me to, or the plans to send me to the third new world. My time is not so easily divided.
Neither is yours, you realize. Make your decision wisely, or I will make it for you.

[Throwing his arm around your shoulder.]
You need a vacation! Some kinda beach covered in hot goddess babes and the ocean, as far as the eye can see!
Do gods even get vacation time? If not it's a travesty! You'll really need to take that up with your union.

I would refrain from touching me, if I were you.

Who'd have thought the god of mischief would be such a killjoy?
I mean I'm all for killing, but not when it's my good time.

Your mundane ought to do what they must, no matter the outcome.]

And if it means abandoning these worlds after barely a week's long visit, what then? It's all such a wasted effort.
no subject
Is there a reason for such turning? Uncertainty about your voice, or about the way your mundane is being perceived by others? Or can they simply not keep up with two at once, and it is a time issue?]

It is a multitude of things, I suppose. Our first adventure together, her first venture back into the "game world" in months as it were, personal problems and events. And a foot injury, but I hardly see how that should be affecting anything.
no subject
There's the sound of what could be assumed to be a wolf's sigh as she thinks, not moving her head away from his scratching because that would be terrible.
A foot injury? is the most interesting thing she's gotten out of it that she'll touch on. Any injuries come with pain, young one, I couldn't imagine it not "affecting" everything. Do you not feel pain?]

And indeed it would be terrible. It's like a mantra, scritch-scritch, scratch-scratch. Calming. He doesn't feel like setting things on fire anymore. ]
She lays here all day with her communicating device in her lap, surely it doesn't cause delay in her progress and planning. [ And, a slight shrug. ] I do not feel pain if I choose not to.

Good! The only things Amatersu ever sets on fire are monsters and really terrible thieves that steal things from everyone in town. Oh, and bombs. And stoves. Things mortals need to be set on fire.
Gosh, more of that I don't feel this if I choose not to. Does it ever end? The mother looks as flat-faced as a wolf possibly can.
Were you to be attacked and bloodied, you could simply "choose" to not feel that pain? Or are do you really mean when you say you do not choose to, that you push it down instead, or that you ignore it as long as you can?
Does he need more tacklekisses? Hmm?]

Flat-faced as she may be, Loki only offers another shrug of his shoulders, drawing his hand back to fold them behind his back. ]
I choose not to. Whether it means I avoid the possibility of it to the best of my abilities or simply pretend I am not burning and bleeding, the point remains the same. I will not let pain consume me.
no subject
They are nice shoes, after all.
To pretend does not make it a reality. To pretend is simply that: a false assertion about something. If you do not feel, you do not feel, but that is not the case if you have to pretend.]

There's a slight twitch in his brow, a faint curling of the corner of his lips. ]
It makes it my reality.

The sun god makes something like a mix between a whine and a sigh and moves to lay around his feet, tail wrapped around him yet again. These young gods and their adolescence, what is she going to do with them?
We cannot craft reality to suit us, for then we are not living in a reality at all. There is a difference between one's reality and what one chooses to believe in as their own. It is still not true, dear one.
After all, there are those who do not believe in the gods and live accordingly, but that does not mean we are not here.]
no subject
I care not. [ He stares away, at nothing in particular. ] The reality I craft for myself is more comforting and pleasant to me than the reality I would be forced to live through otherwise. I do not wish to feel that pain, therefore, as I told you, I choose not to.
Your wisdom and grace is better suited to those with a greater need for it. I can take care of myself, I do not need your lectures.

She lifts her head, tail swishing about as she does so. The Divine Instrument Solar Flare on her back, giving off flame and blue energy, spins and seems to grow in intensity.
A moment's pause before the ground around him is overtaken in flowers yet again, blue and white and purple and verdant green. She stands and moves to him, head looking upwards as jaws part and she pants slightly, black lips certainly forming into a smile.
I do not mean to lecture, says that maternal voice, and this time it is far more pleased than anything else, it is good that you stand firm in your beliefs, even if they are disagreeable to others. That is very admirable, Loki.]

The flowers are back again, and despite his sour mood, Loki is still fond of them. He doesn't move further so that the flowers don't crush under his boots, but he does lean down, and brush his fingertips across a few white petals. ]
Admirable?
[ He scoffs, withdrawing his hand from the flowers. ]
Others call it madness.
no subject
Perhaps, then, and the voice is amused, teasing slightly, the reality others have chosen for themselves fits that, and the reality you have chosen for yourself does not.]
no subject
I highly doubt that, but I appreciate your implication. It has long been established that I am not of the norm.
no subject
...though they may have fights over who gets what food...which would probably end with Loki leaving his meal unattended to make them stop long enough for her to slow time and get his.
Where's that Tao Trooper mask when she needs it?
The norm is a liquid idea, one that changes constantly and will never be the same from one creature to the next. It is nothing to be ashamed of, nor to be boastful about. It simply is a thing imbued in the nature of all creatures, from predator to prey and beyond.

And there is no need for such a spell. Take a knife, and cut her hair.

And what if the girl is not so vain? And what if she earned my ire by killing what I called mine?

Of course that is assuming you are given a say in your mundane's choice. They seldom listen.

I wonder, what is a worse torture? Reliving old pains or having to be surrounded by idiots in a confined space?
