They are genocidal monsters. The ruins of my world attest to that. Even if there are a few that aren't insane, they're still animals that will destroy anything on a whim. Civilized people, real people, don't do that.

The Commander knows that Master Porky used to be human at some point, but by now he's lived several thousand years and still remains with the appearance of a child, if a very frail and sickly one. Whatever he did to survive that way, he's probably not quite human anymore.]

We, the Ai-lan, had achieved world peace. We were at the height of our Golden Age. And then we foolishly reached out to Earth, thinking it was a world like our own, only to have mass genocide unleashed upon us with no provocation.

Maybe there are one or two humans with personhood and a conscience. But it's not worth the risk to let all humans live, not when they come in peace and shoot to kill.
