The Dovahkiin is also known as the Dragonborn. A person who was born with the blood and soul of a dragon and the only one who can truely make certain that a dragon stays dead by taking in it's very soul. Thereby granting him or her the power of that dragon and allowing the Dovahkiin to learn their language almost instantly.

No, though I am able to call upon dragons for help as well as use the power of their thu'um.

A thu'um is a shout, or word of power spoken by dragons. [Geez, what kind of backwater world to you hail from?]

In the world I come from, dragons only roar. Well, maybe not "only".

They also may be archdemons, but that's another matter entirely.

And what are archdemons?

It usually involves the whole 'screaming and fire' thing.

Archdemons are creatures that lead the darkpawn. Blights are only ended when they're killed. I've never seen one myself, but that's the story.

They take the form of dragons.

Although I don't understand why one would wish to be a dragon. That is, unless they have a death wish.

What about the ability to fly? And never having to look for firewood again?

You do not have to worry about not needing firewood with the thu'um. Though it does not allow you to fly.

Flying is not all that effective when I know of a shout that can force dragons to land.
