[ Izuna stared blankly at the kid for a moment before answering. He's quickly trying to assess what kind of world Rivaille is from without any help from the Backyard mainframe. ]

Oh, I get it! Those nations no longer exist in your time period, right? Somewhat similar to the world I know.

[ He grinned a little. ]

Well let's start off with the basics. I'm a kitsune, a fox-spirit. In Japanese folklore, kitsunes are often depicted as intelligent beings who possess a vast repertoire of magical abilities that increase with their age and wisdom.

[ He paused briefly before continuing with his lengthy explanation. ]

The State of Japan, Nihon-koku, was an island nation in east of Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it once lied to the east of China, Korea, and the Sea of Japan. Often called the "Land of the Rising Sun", Japan was once a striving nation known for their technological wonders.

[ Believe it or not, this fox-spirit is actually an advance form of A.I hailing from the Backyard, this kind of high-tech information hub. ]

Ah... huh. [A kind of 'you are bullshitting me' look from our friend Rivaille here. But he keeps quiet and listens, despite the air of judgement wafting around him. He at least acknowledges that he could be in part right, the land he lives in, the land inside the walls, used to be a part of a more separated set of populations with a lot of warring problems. So that isn't so farfetched.]

[The kitsune thing though- especially since he just outwardly says it's from folklore? Hard to actually believe, appearance on Izuna's side or not.]
