You've only completed 23% of my actual canon, you know.
Just because you've played an engineer from some little scrapper ship that got 14 episodes and a movie doesn't mean you can just jump right into the depth of this canon, similarities between us aside.
Unless you've suddenly acquired vast knowledge of the progression of technology and its use over four television shows (none of which you've seen in their entirety) this is a pathetic and irresponsible attempt that will get you laughed out of the canon.
Well, it seems like we both have lingering 'disciplinary issues.' I guess that means you better start researching...

[ this level of eye-rolling might result in the complete loss of her eyes. ]
I've been laughed at enough throughout my life. I don't react well to the prospect of mockery.

Everyone's got to start somewhere, B'Elanna. Give her time. She'll learn. Trying is nothing to laugh at.
[ and anyone who mocks b'elanna will have her captain to deal with. ]

[ it sounds reasonable, if her tone weren't still huffy. ]

[ convincing? likely not. ]
/comes back to this after two months...
i might also venture to musechat, try some more trek-relevant dialogue
Not like I can't waste some time stopping off in some pocket universe, anyway.

Wait, Naomi? As in...? No, this is ridiculous. She's an infant!

Ah... You must be from our second or third year in the Delta Quadrant. [ quietly determining how much he can say. ]

[ groan. ]
And now I have to deal with a time differential? When are you from?

[ way in the future. a good few years. enough that it would make adhering to the temporal prime directive a little bit difficult. ]
At this point I'll take a temporal anomaly over the Borg. Temporarily.
[ someone stop him. please. ]

[ because boy he understands that pressure. on the one hand, he really wants to make sure kathryn's all right and doesn't endanger herself somehow. on the other, she would rather have him back on voyager. so he's caught between what she wants and what she needs.
what is his life? ]

[ well, b'elanna can't really say which she'd prefer. all in all she'd be happier at chakotay's side, but not at the expense of becoming a puppet. ]

Although-- [ just spit it out, b'elanna. ] If I could help you and Captain Janeway. I don't think it would be so bad.

[ and, hey, if b'elanna's with them, he knows they'll be able to work their way out of anything. not that he doesn't think the captain's capable on her own, but she'd be better off with at least some of the crew with her. ]
If my player ends up going through with this, I'll see you afterwards. Be careful, B'Elanna.
[ a part of him is hoping she'll join them, even though he knows she'd be better off on voyager. ]

Chaoktay? [ should she bother? ] Good luck.

Same to you, B'Elanna. If you need a diplomat in the future... let me know.

I look forward to it.
[ that's a "see you later," b'elanna. at least if he ends up in that place, he'll definitely have the captain and most likely another trusted member of their crew. this might actually not be entirely bad. ]

I really don't have time for her ... whims.
