Homeless and searching after hiatus
There you are, Mun! Sheesh, I was wondering what was taking you so long. It's been how long since you decided to do some role playing that didn't involve dice and a bunch of complicated rulebooks? Do you have any idea how unbelievably boring it is to be cooped up in your headspace like this? I'll even take one of those crazy games over that! At least there, stuff actually happens!

Yeah, I've been to a few games before, so I know what to expect. Anyway, I don't think my mun has the guts to send me anywhere really bad, and I'm too young for anything icky, so I think my chances of having a fun adventure are pretty good.
[Looks like she hasn't learned not to tempt fate yet, either.]

But there's certainly nothing wrong with a good adventure every now and again. Of course, you probably get the whole "you're too young to do dangerous things" speech a lot, don't you? [He shakes his head and chuckles.] I've heard that one a few times before.

[She winces slightly in response.] Way too often, believe me. Of course, danger is kind of inevitable where I'm from, but that still doesn't stop the lectures.

stealingliberating them. But no need to tell her how he earns his living.][He waves a hand and chuckles.] Believe me, age has nothing to do with how much trouble you can get into. Where I come from, there's a young lady maybe a little older than you that runs a whole Caste's security force. And there are adults I know who could get hurt in a room of mattresses. It's all about what's upstairs, knowing how to take care of yourself.

[Well, now that's got her interest.] Wow, really? What's she like? [And she chuckles softly.] Isn't that the truth. Actually, the guy who leads the team I'm on looks all grown up physically, but mentally, he isn't that much older than me. And he's found more than his share of trouble on his own, too.

Hmmm... gonna go out on a limb here and guess your fearless leader also chides you for getting into trouble? Some people hit a growth spurt and it all goes to their head. The leader thing probably doesn't help much either, though.
no subject
Growth spurt, huh? That's one way to look at it... But no, he usually only scolds my brother and me if there's no one else around to do it. Like I said, most of the time he's too busy learning lessons himself to be able to get away with something like that.

At least you've got that! And it's he's still learning lessons, you can always remind him of that if he ever gets after you about things. [A never ending fount of good advice, he is.] So, what do you do where you come from, anyway? You said it was pretty dangerous.
no subject
Hehe, I'll keep that in mind.
[Now she turns more serious, downright wistful, really.] Originally, we came from a world called Thundera. But something made its core become unstable, and it... it's gone now. So now we live on Third Earth. A bunch of the native inhabitants are really friendly, but others, along with some of the terrain... aren't.

Oh... [His ears splay back as he frowns.] I'm sorry to hear that. I've lost a home before, but that pales by comparison. Are... are there many of you left? [He forces a little less gloom into his voice.] But, at least you found a new world, and some friends there.

I'm sorry about your loss, too. Just because it wasn't as big in scale doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. As for how many of us are left... we're not sure. We lost quite a few ships in an attack, but there were other fleets that made it off before the explosion. We haven't been able to contact them though, so all we can do is hope for the best. [She manages a smile. She hates being all gloomy like this.] So that's what we're doing!
no subject
I see. [He frowns, rubbing one temple. He knows to say something positive, but that's never really been his thing.] But, er, don't think just because you haven't heard from them the news is bad, either. I bet before you know it, they'll show up and surprise you. Hoping for the best is better than expecting the worst, right?
