Mun dilemma

I wouldn't expect anything less. I've been relying on the same from my Lois for decades.

[Lois blinks and then flushes slightly.]

That's still kind of a daunting prospect. [It was just a kiss! Okay. Two. And wanting more. But still, nervewracking.]

Where does your mun plan on sending you, Lois?

It's complicated. There's a place she might replace a character with me--situation she calls 'shenanigans'--but doesn't want to feel forced into it.

So it probably won't happen. But she was-- considering it.

"'Shenanigans"? That's almost ominous.

Ominous with a slight chance of Drama. She's finding a way around it.

So I probably won't find a place there. Not sure how to feel about it--but I had to try to play voice of reason.

Ouch. That raises several levels of ominous on mine.

It's...a desert moon and there's some sort of war going on. She already has someone there who can do everything I can. I don't understand what she wants from me.

[He shakes his head at that.] No. He's a man from a planet called Khera, which she says is a lot like the Krypton I'm from. He may be able to do what I can, but he's nothing like me, Lois. I can promise you that.

Powers like yours and being nothing like you is not comforting, Clark.

He's not...a bad guy. He's just...thousands of years old and a warlord. Apparently he named himself Earth's protector, but he...doesn't think much of humans and thinks he knows everything. [And a guy like that, well...he could easily snap and no one would be able to stop him. Clark finds this guy worrisome.]

Does your mun have any plans on sending you anywhere?

Still not comforting. [Raises eyebrow.]

She hasn't really shopped around for anywhere.

No, it isn't. [He nods.] I hope it stays that way.

It won't, I'm sure. Besides, I wouldn't want to be cooped up forever.

Mundanes plotting doesn't scare me.

We both know if a certain Ms. Lane wants out, no amount of mundane self-doubting will stop her.

My self-doubt doesn't stop me, I'm not about to let hers.

We all need luck, knowing mundanes.

I've just gotten out of the headspace, don't scare me like that. [And what he's gotten so far is he gets to talk to interesting people so win/win for now.]

You know I'll be always be around, no matter what your mundane decides. So you won't be forgotten.

How is it that of the two of us, you scare more easily than I do?
