happy birthday peko
I don't understand why it would be important. It's just a day. I have never celebrated it before; there is no reason to start now.
...In any case, you were searching for a 'game', yes? Do you believe you have found one? I think such a thing would be more useful than going on about my birthday...
...
What is a 'horror game'?
[ ooc; spoilers are fine, but let me know if you're not okay with them! ]

[ Anyway... That last part is a little interesting. ] Is that so?

But yes! A handful of students from another class.
[Another laugh because actually he just thought of something.] So it's not as if you'd have to worry about encountering Koizumi-san or Saionji-san! Yet anyway. That might be an awkward encounter, don't you thinl?

[ Her expression twitches then. Is it really necessary to say it like that...? ]
I understand that you may look upon what I did as despicable. But to mock me in such a way is wrong, too.

You have it wrong, Pekoyama-san! I don't see a despicable thing in what you did. You acted in a way that was true to the hope that resides in your heart, didn't you? Even in such a painful and difficult situation, to take those actions for the sake of the person you put all your hope and faith in! It's really a beautiful thing.
[Murder for a good reason is Komaeda's favorite kind of murder!]
The only actions I can't forgive are the ones done by someone with no hope compelling them!

[ Somehow... hearing it said that way is even worse. It isn't comforting at all; it makes her feel nauseous. Being condemned for what she did would be better than being reminded of her complete failure to save Kuzuryuu. Maybe he is her 'hope', the way Komaeda puts it- not that it would make a damn bit of difference now. ]
...It isn't like that all. For someone like me, with only one purpose to exist... What I did... How it ended up... That was the very definition of 'hopeless'.

Even if your one purpose wasn't accomplished how you thought it was, it was anything but hopeless. Kuzuryuu-kun changed a lot from that day, but he didn't give up! [And back to the grinning.] Even in the face of Monobear's plots and tricks, everyone pulled together with all the hope in their hearts. Even if there's tragedy and loss, that sort of hope still shines.

[ She wouldn't know anything about that, of course, but although Komaeda has... many faults, to put it gently, he doesn't seem to her to be the kind of person who would be dishonest about this sort of thing... ]
Has he... [ She trails off. ] It is what he always wanted... to be strong on his own...

Sometimes hope makes things turn out unexpectedly. ...it's part of why it's so exciting! [Almost an actual conversation. So close.]

If you say so.

[Seriously. There are people in game who haven't learned to disregard every word out of his mouth yet. It's a dangerous set up.]

It does not take much common sense to be discerning of others...
