Sad, how common people never make allowances for science unless it's directly useful to them or provides cheap amusement. As if spending the time and resources on bettering civilization wasn't enough.

More than a pity--an annoyance. Especially when you're forced into their vapid brain and led from universe to universe like some transdimensional pet.

Ah. This wouldn't be the first time I was taken places against my will. I spent seventeen years incarcerated because they couldn't understand what had really happened. It wasn't-- It was tragic, but it wasn't what they said.

I can imagine that, wherever your mun takes you, "proper food" is going to be the least of your problems. But it's best to keep your head and continue your research when you get there--the rest of the panicked rabble needs someone to keep them working in the right direction, yeah?

It's a necessity for people like us. The brain can't be fed with knowledge alone, as much as we'd like it to be so simple.

Knowledge is simply the fuel. The rest - the stimuli - that is our impetus, our drive. A vehicle without an end goal is simply a hunk of metal!

A little bit of both, a little bit of everything else. [He strokes at his patchy stubble.] If I were forced to pick, I'd have to lean towards practical, though; it's one thing to theorize, but it's something so much more to watch your theories come together into something tangible.

Research primarily, but I do like to dabble. My area was primarily fringe science, but you could say I do a bit of everything. Much like you, yes?

There's no better fun than getting your hands dirty with a real brain as you map its neural pathways!

I remember working in the university biology labs a few years ago, working with the graduates and their cadavers...I should have specified, biotechnology is one of my specialties. What was it you were working towards with your studies?...

It isn't a bad dream! Or, I suppose it could be seen as a nightmare, but it isn't just in my mind. A-And I swear to you, I'm not asleep!

This woman is holding me hostage and saying I have to go somewhere!!

Oh! A university! Yes, I had a lab at Harvard for a very long time. It's quite exciting to be on a campus, yes? All the experimentation in various things - it was invigorating indeed!

And my research was for everything! The furthering of science, the development and-- And...

[Give him a moment, he just recalled something.]

And...Healing the world. Something terrible is happening and I must help fix it.
