Let's examine the situation.

Recklessly swinging (see what I did there) into a place you know zip about just because you like some of the people involved? Throwing me into dangerous situations? Yeah, that sounds exactly like something I'd do, actually.

So, your biggest problem is deciding who to "app" first? This is a no-brainer, lady. I'm obviously the most adorable. You'd better do it before I start gathering dust again. What - were you expecting me to protest?

I was hoping for adventure or something.

It's all part of a - some sort of plot that's supposed to be amusing. [ SPOILER ALERT IT'S NOT SHE KEEPS HEARING RUMPLESTILTSKIN LAUGH EVERYWHERE. ] There's some kind of substance. It's fatal in most cases, and it found me.

There is some of that to be had, though - and the scenery is exquisite! I've never seen anything like it.

[ If it's anything like hearing The Lizard snarlcackle through the sewers, then Belle have her sympathies. ] Bummer. [ Wait, that's actually not the best thing to say. ] I mean - no. That's ... not good.

If I seem confident, you're, like, the most optimistic person ever. "Oh, I'm gonna die in this big plot, but the scenery is beautiful." [ She fidgets with her bangs. None of this is really a joke, nor is it very funny, but how else does she handle that kind of information? ]

I'm going to come back! [ she starts to laugh. yeah, that probably should have been mentioned before. OOPS. ] In this case, it's more of an inconvenience, than anything - even if I won't say it's pleasant.

Oh, this information would have made that sound slightly less horrific.

[ A nanosecond into considering it, and you can almost see a neon-lit "SCIENCE!!" written in her eyes. ] So. They've got technology a bajillion years into the future. Cool, very cool. I'm glad you're not really going to die, Miss.

[ just a sheepish grin. she hasn't figured it out in-game, either, shh. thank goodness for being meta as hell. ]

It's - I suppose. Everything looks like it's several decades in the past, apparently. But there's aspects of it that even we haven't developed yet.

So, we've got a retro futuristic Meet the Jestons world, people dying but not dying and funky substances that will probably kill you but are supposed to be amusing? [ Alleged smartypants, here. ] I guess I might be able to find a place for myself there.

The substances - that particular one, at least - aren't a permanent thing. From what I've gathered, they're due to an accident.

Nearly everyone's in this situation accidentally, honestly. Nobody's just thought to fix it yet.

I take it that that's what happens in most of these game type situations, because half of them seem like less-than-ideal settings for a person to make a new home. [ 'Has anyone done a Truman Show type game?' she wonders, rubbing her chin. ]

Who's in charge of all of this, anyway?

I've only ever been in one other, really. And not for very long. Long enough to gather that our presence there was completely on purpose. [ it was time to ollie on out of there when they were putting things in the food oH WAIT MAYBE THERE'S A COMMON LINK HERE. ]

Someone named - Andrew Ryan, I believe? I've only heard of him from others; never met him myself. Yet.

[ It's probably a HUGE conspiracy, Belle. It's for the best that she ollied out of that. ]

... I don't know what kinda name I was expecting, maybe one of those names you can't pronounce like in Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings. Anyway, he sounds like a dude I don't want to mess with. And I've messed with some weird dudes recently.

He sounds - unassuming to me, really. [ she shakes her head. see, she's supposed to be talking to some people about these things and stuff and it hasn't happened yet and she doesn't want to assume about him but totally is? ] I've run into my fair share, believe me, but this is - a bit different.

I'm sure. In the end, though, I guess I'd just, uh, have to see for myself.

[ She's all about adventure and would like to websling elsewhere, but the the fact that this isn't the world she knows is really off-putting. What would they even do with a girl with her abilities anyway? It's hard enough keeping it in check in the real world.]

Thanks. [ She cracks a grin. ] I work really hard at it. Actually I don't work on it at all, it's purely natural.

[Bart grins sheepishly as he nods his head in agreement.]

I too know the burden of being naturally awesome...it's a curse at times yet there's nothing we can do but grin and bear it!

It's the least I can do, but I guess you're familiar with the whole being fantastic thing. It's rough sometimes.

So uh, what sorta dangerous situations were you looking at dealing with?

The ol' munny is thinking of throwing me into this horror-type game, that's not really horror but has "scary elements." It sounds kinda cool and it's based on a video game, so - duh, I'm interested.

Nope, not really sure where I heard it from either but it suited me well enough!

[The mention of video games and her obvious interest earned her a bright smile as he shook his head in awe.]

[ She raises her eyebrows, bemused and astonished. It usually took a little more fumbling and babbling to mildly impress a male specimen. ]

Well, I mean, yeah, I knew that, but thanks. I'm kind of ... into that, all of that. Haven't had much time for it recently, but.

Gotcha. The horror movies are cool, and there are a handful of sweet games out there that grab my attention, but truth be told I kinda prefer being out and about! Nothing beats jogging out in the fresh air, or taking a run to the beach.

I like to hang around too. [ Snicker snicker. ] I mean, now that it's warmer, I'm not inside as much. My computer's gathering dust and I think my Aunt May's worried that something wrong with me. [ She grins. ]

Well if you are ever bored and looking for someone to hang with for a bit, I'd be there in a flash!

[He grins again and winks at her for a second.]

Heck I could show you some of my favorite places to grab a bite...ever been to Mexico or Italy? Oh man, they got some freaking amazing dishes!

[ She gives him a sidelong glance, eyebrows lifted and disappearing under her too-long bangs. ]

Never been to either, though they say Queens, NY is a good place to get Greek food. What, are you some world explorer?

[Bart chuckled softly for a moment and smiled again.]

I hear Greece has some pretty good Greek food too! May not beat the Queens standard, but safe to say it's a close second.

I'm...fast...Well freaking super fast actually. Heck, pick a place, anywhere in the world and I can have us there in the blink of an eye!

[That gets him another suspicious look, though she does regard him differently now, completely tempted to try to one up him as far as teens with powers go. ]
