I want to go to Saeng Seong! My prince is there, and it sounds so romantic— It couldn't be any more perfect! The thought of never being able to feel his skin beneath my fingers ever again already makes me feel like I'll break apart and die, so the "catch" is fine. Besides, that's like what they say in wedding vows, isn't it? "To have and to hold"?

I guess that if you really don't want to, that tower is acceptable as well. It's not my preference, but I'm sure that as soon as I take care of my stupid sister, things will be fine. It's just a little bit of extra work for me, that's all. Ah, but you'd have to get rid of one of your other ones before you could do that, wouldn't you? Well, that's no trouble. What about that little brat? He has always been disposable, so throwing him away shouldn't be a problem.

I think--a game without powers might be a good idea.

But we already met them, so--it wouldn't really matter if we lost our powers now. We'll still have what matters. It's just--people use them to do a lot of bad things.

So you think people should throw away parts of themselves, just because you think they're bad?

N-no, I don't think that. [He doesn't want anyone to be hurt, or sad.] That's not what I meant. People should be themselves. Our powers aren't really us. I'd be fine without mine.

They're important to some of us, and just because you would be happy without yours doesn't mean everyone else feels the same. You shouldn't be so self-centered.

I thought it might be nice if everyone was equal. Maybe less people would be hurt.

[He knows what it's like to be hurt by powerful people.]

It doesn't matter if you take away everyone's powers. We still won't be equal. There will be people who are bigger and stronger, and they'll still hurt people weaker than they are. That's just the way humans are.

[At this, he looks disheartened, and he's quiet for a few moments, thinking.]

But it will make things a little better. Magic hurts a lot of people.

Maybe things don't always have to be that way. They could get better, if we try to make them better. If we work very hard and help each other. Not everyone who's strong hurts people.

I told you, it's human nature to want to be the most powerful. When you are, no one can stop you from doing what you like, or refuse you something that you want to have. Doesn't that sound appealing? Being able to do whatever you please?

But to be able to have that kind of freedom, you have to take it away from everyone else. The strong lord over the weak, regardless of whether or not there's magic. All magic means is that who has power and who doesn't is a little different.

That's not what I want at all. What I want is for people to be equal, and happy. It's all right if sometimes I'm disappointed, or sad, or can't do what I want. That's the way things are sometimes. [Or most of the time, when it comes to him.]

I wouldn't want to hurt anybody. [And he looks saddened by the very thought.] I'd rather not have power than have someone get hurt. It's not worth it.

I know things can be different. There are good people, too. The world can be a better place.

That's because you have a pure heart. You haven't learned how to be selfish yet, but most people aren't like that. Even if they would never act on those feelings, they're still there inside them.

Is that so? But you need power to stop people who would want to hurt others. Sometimes, you might even need to hurt them to keep them from doing so. What will you do if something like that happens?

The Tower is a loss of power. It's a loss of everything. And I agree with your mun— Saeng Seong is not an option either. She's already decided on that other Archer, and between him and the little Assassin, there's no room for you. It's best you stay where you are.
