Diane, I understand that I'm going to be on the road for a little while. So I've made the appropriate arrangements -- packed my bags, as the saying goes.
I had an excellent breakfast at the hotel this morning: hard-cooked eggs, and I mean hard. Bacon so crisp you could almost taste the fire under the pan. And I don't think I need to remind you about the excellent quality of the Great Northern's coffee: hot, black as midnight, never over-roasted. Total comes up to $5.22.
You really need to come down here when you've got some vacation time; the staff have been nothing if not kind and courteous to me.
I'll miss this place, Diane, I really will. The question is where I'll be going next.
