... doesn't mean I'm a funny guy. You know that. I'm actually pretty serious. I like the name you've chosen for me. It fits. Very existential. I'm not sure if anyone at SCDPCGC -- is that what we're calling it now? I can't keep track. Sounds like a shady law firm no matter how you organize the letters -- gets it.

[A pause.]

What do you mean, "gets what?" Gets it. It's a figure of speech. A phrase. Are you high right now?

You're not high? That's a first. Not for you, I mean. For the people I spend my time around these days. Come to think of it, though, this is pretty weird. Did you get me high?

So it's an experiment? Like they're... they're testing us? Like we've got no rights?

Something like that. It beats alien abduction, I'll tell you that much.

Yeah, they did. It wasn't...great. But yeah, they sent me back.

Did you tell anyone? I bet they didn't believe you. They never believe that kind of thing.

You're right, they didn't. Not even a little bit. Eventually, a few people. But not many.

They never believe things that sound too strange. Not the government, not anybody. It's easier to deny it, I guess. Easier to live in their comfortable little boxes where nothing weird happens and nobody gets abducted by aliens.

It must be nice, to have that kind of denial. That there aren't aliens or anything weird around.

Nice? Yeah, maybe, until you can't deny it anymore. Then they're in for a rude awakening.

Some of them.

Good. Then maybe this place won't be so bad.

Maybe not. I'm in one of those 'games', and I don't hate it.
