How can you feel that? Where I come from, only people with an illness can.

The moon gives us strength, and it's light can keep us going. Has kept my pack and me going long past the point where we should have keeled over. But the moon in that place, it wasn't enough.

...Honestly, I've never even heard of humans that could feel the moon before.

Only people who lived on that island got the illness. The moon affects us just as much it controls the tides of the ocean.

I don't put much stock in legend, but supposedly not all humans were created that way. Some of them are wolves who forgot what they were a long time ago.

It's possible. If your ancestors got stranded on that island, they may have passed as humans long enough that they forgot what they were. If that's the case, then maybe the moon is just powerful enough to make you remember.

I haven't thought of that. But Rougetsu Island has a gateway to the world of the dead. When the lunar eclipse happens, that's when the gateway opens up.
