Oh yes, wonderful...because this place is so much more promising than the other pit you dropped me into.
[ Dripping with sarcasm and all-around lack of approval. ]
I suppose it's better than a bottomless pit, or an eternity to wander the desert.
But really, do you think the inhabitants of this void will be anymore interesting or reliable than the last?
[ Actually yes, Azazel, I do. So hush. ]

Ever been in one?

All the same...to some it is a formless void, to others, a blank canvas with endless artistic possibilities.
Sort of like mankind. Their malleable personalities present boundless opportunities, don't you think?
no subject
The most interesting, by far. [Have a little grin.]
no subject
Malleable, sure. But they have free will. They can choose to be what they want to be, what they wish to be. Do we have those same choices? Do you?

You might be surprised.
He's being exceptionally himself. :|
[ It could almost be said that that tone was patient. But arrogance on that level? Didn't qualify as patient. At most, it could be said that he was stating a painfully obvious fact for a particularly dimwitted ease dropper. ]

Which is hardly punishment really. Playing with humans is a lot more fun than dealing with the self-important slaves that stuck with God. [He considers the angels that didn't fall it weren't kicked out to be nothing more than slaves with the illusion of divinity.]
no subject
But then you wouldn't be you. Anyone who thinks they're better is probably a self righteous servant of the Holy Tyrant.

The adulation can, I'm sure, be a bit much. Of the angels. Walking among the humans can be a bit of a thrill. Or a puzzle.

I do believe in they know better.

So either I have free will, or was designed to fall. Tell me, what sort of jerk would plan for me to fail? To design a flaw and then damn me for it?
I dunno. Seems to me, either God is not really all-powerful, or he's a selfish, hypocritical tyrant.
[He smiles, showing teeth.] You can be the judge of that.

It's all very murky.

If that was planned, why was the reaction an order to exile founded from wrath?

Think of it like this. God loves you. He loves loves everyone. But he has to love you, he can't not love you. It's a physical connection. You come from God, everything comes from God. Everything is part of God. Deus caritas est, God is love. God love. But. Maybe that's a problem. Because if God loves everything that comes from him, and suddenly that love isn't returned? Maybe it's a conflict?

[ Blandly, almost bored. ]
Those trying to make a name for themselves or misunderstanding that one who rules doesn't need to entertain every challenger.
Re: np!
Was there a point to this conversation?

[Some who look at Sam may see a young man. Some who look at Sam may see a mass of Light beyond that.]

[ He can see both, though he doesn't bring it up yet. He's Lucifer, light and beauty personified - but also temptation in all it's forms. Some are merely drawn to him, but he's always curious if they know what they are seeking.
But then, he was always curious. ]
