voice testing aaaah

Hush, I'm busy.

[ I didn't say anything. ]

Not yet, no, but you were going to.

[ ... You're just staring at a clipboard. ]

Yes.

[ It's blank. ]

Is it? [ Oh, no. ] From my view, there is a lot to this clipboard. Where you might see a blank page, I see--

[ He stops all of a sudden, and looks a little sad maybe? He must miss his sister... ]

Anyway, yes, quite busy. [ Well, guess he's done with me. He goes back to staring at the clipboard and twirling a pen around his fingers. ]

Interesting perspective. Are you one of those Earth hopper guys?
jokester_not_joker: (I got better)

[personal profile] jokester_not_joker 2013-05-30 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It's more a figure of speech. Earth portalers sounds a little too boring.

You remind me a bit of my friend Eddie. He's always got more questions than answers.
nevertails: (do i look amused)

[personal profile] nevertails 2013-05-31 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
What you must understand about questions is how deeply interesting they can be.
nevertails: (let me explain this to you slowly)

[personal profile] nevertails 2013-05-31 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed, knowing a thing to be true can take away much of the initial interest one may have held before.
nevertails: (but what)

[personal profile] nevertails 2013-05-31 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
It's an everlasting Catch-22.
nevertails: (if you'll just consider)

[personal profile] nevertails 2013-05-31 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it more important to satisfy your curiosity, or to live in ignorance forevermore, sated instead by the hunt for answers?
jokester_not_joker: (I got better)

You two make a fantastic duo. Ever think about becoming superheroes? I think you would fit right in.
nevertails: (i've told you before)

[personal profile] nevertails 2013-05-31 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Banish the thought, brother. We have neither the ability nor the time to swoop around saving citizens.

Are you sure? I mean I'm just a human with some nice technology and a penchant for making life hell for some villains.

I refuse to wear any form of skin-tight latex.
jokester_not_joker: (Have no fear)

[personal profile] jokester_not_joker 2013-05-31 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey if you're not worried about secret identities you could go with what you're wearing. There aren't any rules as to what you can and can't wear.

Besides I think it would be rather awkward if you did wear latex because it would mean your brother over there would be wearing the exact same thing.
nevertails: (let me explain this to you slowly)

[personal profile] nevertails 2013-05-31 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Our identities are no issue.

. . . [ a glance at Robert ] Indeed.
nevertails: (i could concede that perhaps)

[personal profile] nevertails 2013-05-31 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed.
notmakingsense: (OH SNAP)

[personal profile] notmakingsense 2013-05-30 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[there's a snap of fingers and suddenly a crude drawing appears on the clipboard. It's a bad drawing of a certain Draconequus, and it's moving, and talking.]

Well then, the page isn't blank anymore, is it?
notmakingsense: (No flying)

[personal profile] notmakingsense 2013-05-30 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
What you're looking at is a being that's done what you're doing for centuries.

It's nice to see that some humans have discovered the tears I've been using.
notmakingsense: (You'll get them back in due time)

[personal profile] notmakingsense 2013-05-31 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[There's a flash of light and the paper is blank again, but now there's this guy standing in front of Robert.]

Oh I can appear in many places. I'm a spirit of chaos after all.
notmakingsense: (No flying)

[personal profile] notmakingsense 2013-05-31 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Many things.

Such as spreading chaos and disharmony wherever you go, generally being better than others, etc etc.
notmakingsense: (This is important)

[personal profile] notmakingsense 2013-06-01 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Not busy enough to not deal with the small stuff.

And, might I add, you two are not small stuff.
notmakingsense: (No flying)

[personal profile] notmakingsense 2013-06-01 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
That little stunt you two pulled? With the tears and what you are now? You're the first mortals to do that.

Frankly it's almost insulting, but I'm still amazed that you pulled it off.

[ Oh, Robert. You were always the sentimental one, weren't you. Though perhaps when it comes to the subject of missing siblings, she can understand the sentiment. ]

You failed to finish your sentence just now, [ she points out, as if he'd somehow managed to overlook the fact. ]

[personal profile] 1031 2013-05-31 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Yes, that's right. Chin up. ]

That implies there's action in inaction, dear brother. Which, if there is — and there isn't — is quite clever of you.

There is and there isn't, same as always, [ she says, which is old hat really for the likes of them. ] Which I suppose makes us both equally right and equally wrong.

[ A beat and she fails to smile, though the timber of her voice changes just slightly. ] I would argue that we're both clever enough, though when one has two of anything there'll always be a lesser and a greater.
