Turtlebound? I’d say get ready for a shock, but no one’s ever ready. Boy did your mun ever pick a time to put in their app. We have non-stop craziness going on right now, but I don’t know if it will still be there later.

Well, where I'm from crazy is kind of uhm-- normal. [crazy is just the tip of the iceberg for Pandora] So maybe it'll be alright? I'm told I'll get to go outside.

Um...yeah, of course you can go outside. You kind of have to. When you show up in the palace the kedan there will take you to your new stomping grounds. The suites they have can be pretty nice, so I don’t mind spending a day indoors. [Especially when more than half the city are very not nice.]

Well this is more raining fire from the sky kind of crazy and from what I’m told it’s going to get a lot more so in a couple of days. [She’s trying her best to not look a little excited about it.]

Oh wow really? [she claps her hands together quickly] The last time I was outdoors was when I was uhm-- four I think? This should be great then you know if they allow me in there and all.

Raining Fire? You mean like...a volcanic eruption? Or like satellite based laser weapons?

Four? Seriously?! When I was four- [She puts her hand up.] Never mind, long story. Don’t even get me started, my mun was sweating bullets over not being accepted for practically a week. All they can do is their best, worrying over it doesn’t do any good. [Not that they heeded her advice at all.]

I mean like volcanic eruption of metal death Raining Fire. [Satellite debris, but she doesn’t know that yet.]

So like...a frag grenade then? No wait that sounds too small. More like a mortar shell that got blown up before it hit the ground. [she gives a little nod]

Definitely like a mortar shell. Only they’re all over the city, which is pretty massive. So yeah, pure unmediated disaster right in everyone’s front door. Maybe you’ll get to avoid it, which is a good thing.

[she makes a little frown. That kind of rampant chaos is fairly normal where she's from but it still causes a lot of trouble for the people that have to go through it] Are the people-- are they handling it well?

As well being trapped under toppled building and being on fire can be handled. [but seriously-] We’ve got some big guns that are helping to keep the body count down, injuries can be fixed just fine though. I think it’s the recovery, reconstruction, and cleaning that’s going to really take it out of the locals.

But there’s good things about Tushan! I’m not trying to make it sound horrible.

Oh wow that sounds kind of exciting. What kind of guns are they? Rocket Launchers? [please do forgive her]

[Angel’s getting a completely flat look.] Wrong guns.

I meant people with powers, or superheroes, who have apparently dealt with this kind of thing on a pretty consistent basis. [So glad she’s from her world and not theirs.] Magic users and even some powers beyond that. I haven’t even met half of them I think. I’m still kind of new to it myself actually…

Ohh right. Metaphorical guns [she chuckles] Sorry I'm just a little uh-- out of touch? [there's a quick nod as she confirms with herself that that's the word she was looking for]

Guess so... [She'll fit right in with everyone else who's kind of odd.] But yeah, they can get it under control in no time. I'm helping but I can't do nearly as much they can.

So what sector did your mun go with?

Why not? You look pretty strong to me. She chose metal because I'm familiar with technology. [way to downplay that Angel]

Hey, that's the same sector I'm in! My mun thought I'd like it there. [And they weren't wrong.] Wait until you see the tech they have, it's pretty awesome. Well, it is to me anyway. Most people here have seen a lot of this stuff or even think it's outdated. [As if.]

…Nope, I didn’t even get half of that. You lost me after “stores”. If there is anything like that I wouldn’t even have the slightest clue what it was if it slapped me in the face. There’s a Stark Industries and I think they deal with that kind of stuff, but I’ve never been there so I have no idea. [Advanced technology like that isn’t her cup of tea. Tea is her cup of tea.]

Okay, so generally fishing is just attaching a strong string to a wooden pole with a hook covered in bait. You cast the string into the water, hook a fish biting the bait.

You-- control water? I don't think I've heard of that before. There are people who can work with Fire, Acid, and Electricity (and more recently Slag) where I come from. hm Now that I think about it I guess Acid counts as a liquid at least.

Okay, Acid isn't something I've ever even considered bending, but I don't think I'd ever want to. Fire sure, and lighting/electricity fall under that so I can see that. Slag?

Slad is like [she moves her hands awkwardly as she tries to come up with an adequate description] It's this semi-solid substance left over from the processing of eridium. Like; a toxic sludge that makes things that come in contact with it weaker and easier to kill.

Eridium? [She holds up her hands.] Never mind, you can tell me all about it on the turtle.

[Her face is half confusion half repulsion.] What is it with everything being about killing where your from? No offense and present company excluded. [She hopes.]

It's a really harsh planet. The people are crazy and the animals are dangerous. I think it's one of those situations where you have to either become at least a little desensitized or you'll totally loose it-- which just leads to joining the rest of the crazies [she sighs] The rest of the galaxy is better.

Wow. That sounds awful. [Never has Korra had more appreciation for her world than now. Well, aside from her first day on Tu Vishan.] How the heck did you get through all that? You seem pretty normal to me. [Hairstyle aside.]

I well-- I had my own problems. [all of them named Handsome Jack] You know; locked in a room with no face to face contact with the outside world and that sort of thing [don't forget about being forced to betray your friends and everyone else on the planet]

Yeah, that certainly qualifies as a problem. At least you won’t have to worry about that in Keeliai, just everything else instead. [That’s a fair trade, right?]

Well it will definitely be a new experience.

It's a natural ability yes. I'm not sure how much I'll use it though. I mean; there are a lot of things that I'd like to do first. Going outside is at the top of the list right now. [she's not promising one way or the other though]
