You know saying that is probably only going to encourage them, right? I tried telling mine she didn't need to put me in a game but she reserved me at savetheearth anyway.

Mine has other options... I'm just the only manga version that's playable.

Of course some- [dryly.] alternate world memory loss game would catch their interest too.

Right. It's been a while since she played me, so she has kind of missed it.

For now, it seems like it would just be me there. She is hoping eventually that you and Al come as well. Where does your mun currently have you anyway, if she already has you in a game?

They don't... I was in one before though. Had to take a break for awhile and someone else has me there now. Which is the only reason I'm even being considered - they liked playing me where I was.

It's been a toss up between a setting like the one you're going to, or that Percy Jackson one. Apparently irony is great motivation.

Mine has heard of that series but hasn't read those books. I guess it's up to your mun which one she might want to choose to take you to.

Mine hasn't read them either, but you can't flash Greek Mythology in front of their face without getting their interest.

They're looking over both games and debating now. I'm just glad it's not that- Rekindle game everyone's talking about.

Mine learnt a little about myths and stuff in school, which was her favourite part about classics, apparently, so she can understand that appeal.

Mine has heard of that game, at least one of her friends is intending to app there. I guess the au thing caught her interest a bit more with this Save the Earth place though.

Mine liked the game import idea, which is why I was considered for it... At least it was pretty short lived before they decided on someone else.

They really like AUs that are memory-loss oriented though, one of the first games they joined worked that way. A whole lifetime of fake memories, and not even knowing people from your own world. Until the chip stopped working, anyway.

Oh, so they are sending someone else there instead?

Mine hasn't really done an au thing in a game before. So she is still kind of nervous and working on the 'reincarnation' parts of the application, but she has more or less done the rest of it besides the samples. I don't think there are chips in this one, more these 'echoes' that bring back memories or scars and powers.

2003 version he's been playing since '08... Had him in two games already, you'd think he'd give it a rest.

Mine thinks the rewritten history thing is the best part. Making it work with canon... they had 40 characters in that dressing room alone.

She's finding it interesting trying to make things parallel with canon in this new setting, at least. Figuring ways around things. Over forty? That's a lot! I don't think mine even has that many characters.

They had this version in two games though. After he got out of one, right back into another one... Not something I'd care to repeat if it was me.

Somehow my player has an easy time making alternate stories from my life. I wish he'd give it a break.

Well, in terms of this game the easier it is for them to come up with an au the easier the app probably is, at least.

Creating a fake background... More interesting than just trying to convince some mods they know the real one well enough. Reciting the same stuff over and over again gets boring for them, I guess.

I suppose. And there's potential as well, once you start getting memories and powers back and all, like your alchemy.

Assuming I get my alchemy back. They've been itching to do a "post canon" for awhile now.

Oh. Well, they could always make it one of the later echoes you get? They can choose what and when you get memories and things back. So if they wanted, they could play you knowing about alchemy but unable to use if for a while if they wanted to try playing you without it.

I'm not sure there are really 'canon points' with this game. Mostly since we all start off with this au and eventually regain memories and things from back home of our lives there. But they could easily delay you getting back certain memories, even out of order, or regaining your prosthetics if they wanted.

Sounds a little different. The first one they did still had canon points, when you regained your memories you only got them back up until that point. Whatever your age and timeframe was, I guess.

That would make sense. But with this game I don't think that matters so much. But they can control how much you know and remember about what happened back home in Amestris. So to a point they could sort of control your 'canon point' in that sense.

Not being in some game that's got nothing to do with me? Yeah, I'm fine with it.

[The look doesn't go unnoticed, but being stuck in some alternate universe wasn't going to get anyone back to normal- it wasn't even their world.]

Being trapped in some world with no memories of who I really am, or thinking I'm the kid of some God- doesn't really suit me. There's something more important waiting for me back home, I don't have time for this crap!

How selfish, to only care about your own desires when the people in that world might need your help.

If time is your concern, it shouldn't be a problem. Whenever you're sent home, you'll pick up right where you left off. You won't remember a thing about that other world, like you were never there in the first place. So there's no reason not to go along with it.

Besides, it's what your creator wants. You're not strong enough to go against their will, so why even try?
