Rule 63!Jim Kirk

I'm flattered, really, that you want to take me out for a spin, but I feel I should point out that one thread in which I dance with Lucy McCoy in a bar does not an alternate history make. Especially considering the casual misogyny of the source material.

Not that you should stop trying. And I like "Jodie" better than "Jamie." I bet I could give all those Jims out there a run for their money.

Lets see how long it takes for Bones to make an ass of himself.

[Just gonna... stand here... and try not to stare.] Er, miss. Exxcuse me you look an awful lot like an old friend o' mine.

Well... we've been friends for years, that's my meaning.

And ah, you would be?

Jodie... Kirk...

[What the hell? It looks pretty much like-... Oh.] Then I take it you know exactly who I am now don't you?

Well it's a pleasure to meet you Captain Kirk. [Have a slightly bashful smile and an offered hand to shake.]

None of those Jims got anything on you.
headdocincharge: (no.)

Other-me needs to watch his damn mouth.
with_discipline: (M; Well that sounds foreboding)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2012-02-21 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
To what purpose?
with_discipline: (M; Survey says: you're an asshole.)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2012-02-21 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Fun is so not enough. :|] An what is it you're looking to say?
with_discipline: (M; Right no Shakespeare go on)

[personal profile] with_discipline 2012-02-21 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Certainly, but I'm afraid my interests in exploring neglect to certain officers lies elsewhere.
with_discipline: (M; All kinds of in charge up in here)

Humans have always been at Starfleet's focus. [Okay maybe Vulcans aren't NEGLECTED but she has a secret ego. :c]

[personal profile] vulcans_never_bluff 2012-02-21 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
My perception of you, regardless of name or form, would not change. Anything otherwise would be illogical.

I do admit, my defense of you as a competent superior officer may have to become more frequent, as Starfleet has unnecessary prejudices in our time. I assure you, I would not be subjected to any pressure.

I am curious. How are the variations between the female uniform and the male uniform design supposed to promote greater logic and rationality in either gender?

[Genuine question is indeed, genuine.]

Perhaps that is the purpose, then. The level of distraction is not constant, but I do observe it to exist. More frequently than on Vulcan, where many Vulcan uniforms and ceremonial outfits that are not robes are equally form-fitting between the genders and cover minimal portions of the body.

Perhaps the answer is one that more than one individual needs to determine.
