From what I gather, our position and importance has been somewhat neglected. Wouldn't it be worthwhile to explore why that might be?

I do admit, my defense of you as a competent superior officer may have to become more frequent, as Starfleet has unnecessary prejudices in our time. I assure you, I would not be subjected to any pressure.

I am glad to hear that, Mr. Spock. It would, indeed, be illogical. And yet the female sex has so traditionally been considered as lacking in that department. In humans, of course.

I am curious. How are the variations between the female uniform and the male uniform design supposed to promote greater logic and rationality in either gender?

I didn't design them, Spock. Though I will say that I try to give more credit to my male crewmates than to assume a constant level of distraction.

Besides, you've been known to wear a snug pair of trousers, yourself.

Perhaps that is the purpose, then. The level of distraction is not constant, but I do observe it to exist. More frequently than on Vulcan, where many Vulcan uniforms and ceremonial outfits that are not robes are equally form-fitting between the genders and cover minimal portions of the body.

I'm sorry, Mr. Spock. You asked a legitimate question. I simply don't have a good answer--I've been asking it myself, for years.
