oh the places he'll go.
Miss Mundane-
Normally I wouldn't care about what others think of me, but once you attempt to ridicule my pride as a Flag Fighter, I can't say I'm very forgiving. But... what's done is done; I cannot dwell on something as mundane as a username. I bet you just thought you were being very clever, weren't you?
Well, I'll at least commend you for your ambitious spirit. Your attempts at playing me has not even lasted a week, and you're already thinking of throwing me into two games? Furthermore, without any of my allies? I like it. You're just as reckless as I am! I don't care where you send me, but just make it worthwhile. I, Graham Aker, have always enjoyed a challenge, and you know that! Give me everything you've got, munda-!!
-Wait! What do you mean I can't bring my unit?!

[Because right now, Teddie's just kind of imagining people hitting each-other with flagpoles... Oh, how mysterious the human world is!]

[ DO YOU WANT IN ON THIS FLAGGOTRY, TEDDIE. ]

AND YOU KNOW HE DOES
once he hopefully figures out that's he's misunderstanding this terribly.]

Perhaps you are just too young, then. I am a Mobile Suit pilot under the Earth Sphere Federation... ESF, if you will. Although I no longer pilot a Union Flag, the pride remains with me always!

But besides that, I don't know what crazy kind of flag you're talking about, but the flags I'm talking about sure can't be piloted!

Is that so? Are you a man in love as well?

--Oh, I see! I... still don't get it. 'Mobile suit' sounds like a walking tuxedo or something!
no subject
-- Not quite. Think bigger, young stranger! Have you ever wondered what it is like to capture the sky? These mobile suits allow that. Imagine being able to completely mobilize an aircraft. Give her some arms and legs and being able to control that! And imagine now that this aircraft can break the atmosphere and enter the depth space!! The sky had been my first love. I am at peace when I pilot a mobile suit. That is why...!!
[ GAMES THAT ALLOW MOBILE SUITS, WHERE ARE THEY??? ]

Just one?! Nobody told me there were these kinds of restrictions!!
[AND DOUBLE GASP. Not only does this mobile suit business sound amazing to Teddie, but...]
You've been to space in your mobile suit? What was it like?! Was it romantic with all the stars? Were there aliens?
Haven't finished icons but I couldn't resist
chars unite!

Though if I may ask... is a Flag some kind of weapon?

You sound as if you've had your share of a reckless mun. Am I wrong?
[ shrugging - ]
You'd be correct to call a Flag weapons. They're mobile suits - that is, humanoid combat vehicles of sorts, often over sixty feet in height. I'm a pilot of such mobile suits.

[A thoughtful pause.]
A humanoid vehicle? I think I can imagine it somewhat. The technology of your world must be quite amazing. I wished I could see one one day. Sixty feet sounds almost as huge as a castle.

Perhaps, but if she's anything like mine, you'll end up in two sex games. I'm certain there are better examples out there than her. Be glad she's prudent with her decisions!
Well, I've been told that I'm quite far into the future, Miss. So naturally, it's merely science fiction in most the games out there. Still, I have hope that she'll find a game that suits my need for a challenge. When that day comes, perhaps you should come along as well.

[She gapes a small 'o'.]
I am not sure if a place like that would be appropriate for me. Does that mean she is planning to send you to those games, Sir?
You must be somewhat lucky then, having such technology to rely on. The most advanced thing I have seen in my world was a speaking android. [She nods.] I hope so as well. It would be my pleasure to meet you again, Sir.

We share that sentiment. Indeed, she does. I'll hold on to my word until the end, but I still have a nagging feeling that I will not be suitable for either games. This is what I get for requesting a challenge, I suppose. As a Virgo, however - and I've stated this before - I am certain fate will have its play sooner or later. It's just a matter of patience, which I have very little of.
[ that in itself is a challenge! ]
I don't regret having been born when I did, but even so, such machines are capable of much more damage than what it must've been like two-hundred years ago, when we humans still rely on guns and aircraft. The war of my times are more devastating, naturally. But that is why I'm a soldier.
[ he nods as well. ]
I'll hold you to that, Miss.

At least you are not lacking the passion and enthusiasm in uptaking this kind of challenge. I certainly wish you good luck with them.
Even more destruction? [When guns were still seen as kind of unique in her world.] That is really unfortunate to hear. I am a soldier myself, so I can see where you are coming from. I had fought in wars and to think the destruction could be even bigger...
Thank you. Sir Aker was your name, right? I have forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Fredegund. It is a pleasure to meet you.
