Watching Movies with Characters (Canon is Vorkosigan Saga )
Dear Mun,
No watching the 'subordination lecture', as you put it, isn't entertaining even when it's not given to a (younger version) of myself. Nor is your mental comments of 'even Miles couldn't get away with that one': I don't think I'd wish Kyril Island on anyone I like. Also your attempts to compare and contrast my early adventures with this version of Captain Kirk's is... interesting, but I really don't think his next major mission will be a diplomatic one to Kronos to represent the Federation at the Dowager Empress's funeral. (If it is, watch out for local politics and people trying to frame you, Captain.)
Mun wants to note that according to TNG canon, the Klingons don't have an Emperor at the moment, so that's just silly. On the other hand, there should be more Klingons in the next movie... hmm...
Continuing, I can't tell which one of us is supposed to be flattered by this comparison, myself or Captain Kirk. The elder character, I suppose, but that is relatively ambiguous.
Also, that is not an invitation to find a game for me to interact with this Federation captain or any other; I think you'll find Gregor's business and my own duties keep my life interesting. Not to mention I would like some time with my wife and children on occasion.
