Reserved at Dragon Haven, still waffling
If you are going to do something, you need to commit to it, scribe. Haven't you learned that simple lesson as of late? A wishy-washy attitude is hardly conducive to getting anything productive done! Make up your mind, do your research, sit down, and write.
Honestly. If I can leave Bag End, go on a ridiculous adventure, and fight against orcs, I think that you can manage to get over your insecurities and give yourself another chance.I'm beginning to sound like Gandalf, oh dear.
Besides, I...do miss everybody, and though I'm loathe to admit it to you--you know that it has been...lonely.
A new adventure might be just what the both of us need, hmm?
Oh, what am I getting myself into? Confounded dwarves! So much for respectability.

[Rude.
So. Yeah. You look nice today, Bilbo. Too bad he won't say that out loud.]
So have you spoken to any others?
no subject
...No, not yet. Just you and Bofur.
I can't html forgive me
Regardless, you will be welcomed back happily. The lads have missed you greatly. [He manages a slight smile.] They will appreciate your meals once more, they had been spoiled before you left. Now our cooking is not nearly good enough.
Pfff it's quite fine.
Ah, yes! I did hear that your nephews were there, and some others. I'm hardly shocked that you miss me for my cooking.

[Whoops, he meant 'we', but he doesn't notice his blunder.]

[Now he's curious.]

Ah, well of course your company. When you were not accompanied by Bofur that is. [Now you just sound jealous. Thorin stop talking.]
no subject
Oh? Do tell. [Bilbo tries not to look as amused as he feels.]

I merely meant that the both of you were very close, inseparable, but when I had time to speak with you in separate company, I did enjoy it. [Even if most of it ended up being the hobbit awkwardly wanting to know about dwarven courting customs. Thorin probably never had a relationship in his life, wrong person to ask.]

That's awfully nice of you to say. I never realized that a king would take such pleasure in a mere hobbit's company.
[Now he's just teasing.]

I am just happy to see you again.
[What was that about not being serious? Also don't stand so close to the halfling, personal space and all.]

[He just smiles again, unsure of what else to do. This is...nice, though.]
