What's an Ascended being? Is it anything like the Ascended Masters? Inquiring minds want to know.

Ascension is what we call moving to another plane of existence. We essentially move up to it, therefore ascend.

Shame I can't ask you about your beam, but, hey, Ascended beings and Ascended Masters are apparently of different genera. The more you know, right?

I'm from a race called the Alterans. We reached the maximum level of evolution for our form, so we did what was natural. We evolved past our physical form and rose to a higher dimensional plane.

[All of this is said as if he was just changing his shoes. Better get used to the lack of emotion in his voice]

We don't think of ourselves as masters, so we're likely different from the ascended creatures you're familiar with.

Naturally. You get to what you think is the end of the line but what you really need to think is how to think differently.

So, if you're hanging out on a higher dimensional plane, I guess you must have some means by which to contact the lower planes, or else we wouldn't be having this chat.

I think my mundane refers to the fact that it's been a while since I assumed this form. It'll take a while to get used to it.

My mundane, apparently, is letting me keep my ascencion, but I will be sticking to this form, mostly due to the ease of the people around me.

I only ask because I, too, was once only energy! I'm afraid I don't remember it, however....

Not quite. It's complicated.

Before my ascension, I was in a tangible form, like now, but without the control over the lower planes of existence. I was, for a better word, human.

What happened afterwards is complicated.
