I'd just like to thank you for making me. It's an honor. Don't think so badly of yourself, though. I know you've been through some hard times here, and you do a good job with me. Not every soldier stands on the front lines.

A lot of the people in your head are pretty welcoming, and I appreciate that, even if I'm your first... "real person?" I'm not quite sure what "anime" or "video games" are, but the others who're from them seem pretty nice.

I miss a lot of things, but I can hope you've got something in store for me.

it's a difficult lesson to learn, to be sure. even now thor has a lot of trouble with that. living in the past is easy because that is when things were good and made sense. and man, come on. bonding = drinking. but okay, they can have milkshakes... ]

[ Where... did that voice come from? He gave Thor a look, one that asked, "Did you just hear what I heard?" ]

[ Regardless, as he's trying to look around for the voice, he notices a restaurant. Hey, food! And then thinks back to that voice and just... Okay, we're not going to think on the implications of that, especially when his mun is urging him that it's all right. He trusts her right now. ] There we go. Let's go there. [ Even better, it's a Red Robin, so beer/liquor for Thor! ]

because he would. let's face facts here.

[ shhh nowhere. thor heard nothing. he sees nothing. he says nothing. just like those little monkeys.

yesss it's okay to trust the voice, steve. don't worry. they never lead wrong...... (unsure) ]

[ and he will go, make himself comfortable at a tiny mortal table and stare in fascination. ]

[ He'll be creeped out later once he gets the time to think about it. ]

[ The table's a bit small for him as well, so he asks for a booth. There. ] Well, we are big guys... [ Cue some of the servers giggling and pointing at them, which makes Steve shift uncomfortably. He glanced at the menu, then back up at Thor with a smile, pointing to the pictures of the burgers so Thor knows what they look like. He might have to get two of them. ] Seems like they mostly do burgers here.

[ And he knows what he wants -- the good, ol' fashioned one -- so he looks around at all the odd decor, some of it even pictures from his time, until his eyes land on... this. Is that... the Statue of Liberty with a burger on the torch? He's torn between laughing and feeling offended, so he just lets out an amused chortle. ]
