Random muse, new OC -- all of the surprise
[Mordecai doesn't like this new place. Not at all. It smells strongly of humans -- of hunters -- and it's taking a good amount of willpower from the wolf to not just bolt. And this two-legged who'd captured him... the female seemed as surprised as he was to have stumbled upon him. And her surprise unsettled Mordecai greatly, keeping him from relaxing. His tongue lolled out, curling to lick at his muzzle, and he shifted his body weight from one side to the other as he assessed his surroundings.
A low rumbling growl sounded in his throat and his hackles rose, a snarl twisting his lips slightly as his ears flicked back to lay low on his skull. No, he didn't like this. But he had been searching for awhile and hadn't found a way out either. If he was stuck here, he wasn't entirely sure that he would survive for long. A small whine cut through his nonstop growling and he turned, pacing a circle around where he'd been standing before he sat down. But even that stillness was soon broken by him shuffling his front paws and flicking his tail from one side to the other before he simply gave up trying to sit still and returned to his pacing.
Very bad. This was very, very bad.]

You have a human looking after you too, right? Or else you wouldn't be here, actually. I have one too, but she doesn't let me out as much as I would like.

It'll be all right. I'm sure your human will let you go back home from time to time - when I'm not here, my human lets me go back to my forest too. They're not all bad.
[ ...except for when the human wants to throw her into warmer climates and make her nearly melt T_T ]

Is your human not treating you well? Are you hungry?

Haha! Okay okay, let me see if I can find something. [ Hrm. He's a carnivore- she doesn't really have much in the way of meat and bones for him to chew on, but she's sure her mun has something. Maybe! ]

Okay boy, stay right there, and I'll see what I can find. [ The tiny fairy takes off into the air, trailing pixiedust as she darts away. Gone for a few minutes, she soon comes back, her flight erratic as she'd managed to find a rather large and heavy trout, and it's hard to carry something so big for one little fairy. She accidentally drops it a few feet from the wolf, in fact. ]
Oops! Sorry about that - phew. That was pretty heavy. [ She's not an animal fairy so she hopes he can eat that. ]
This is really late, sorry! ; ;
impatiently waits for Peri to get back. When she does return, he lets out an excited bark at the fish she's carrying. He didn't much like the scaly food, but was he really in a position to be picky? When the fairy drops it, he darts forward and snaps the fish up in his jaws, tail wagging with an intensity that could power a city block for a week. Looking back at Periwinkle, he'll bark, the sound muffled by the fish in his mouth, and bounce a bit, obviously overjoyed.]
