Yeah, I'm happy for him, too. Really. But can we quit harping on it already? I was jetlagged. It happens. I'm still proud of him. I came back from overseas for him. Also I was in the film there for maybe three minutes, you can calm down any time now. Yes, I'm glad they haven't forgotten me. No, this certainly doesn't promise that I'll get another movie anytime soon.

I am. For what it's worth. In the grand scheme of things, the person who should be proud of you is you.

I think Pepper gets this one, to be fair. She saved my ass.

She did. And I'm glad. She deserves a lot of the credit. Still, she couldn't make you take the reactor out. You did that on your own. She may have been your... muse, as it were, but it's still a step you had to take.

[ He can't say-- he's not sure how to feel about that. It was a shared burden; that little circle of light and the Other Guy. Now where does it leave them? ]

[ Tapping his chest, it still clinks under his clothes. All in all, this Tony is a bit jealous of the ones without shrapnel trying to kill them. A lot, in fact. ]

Kudos to the guys who do, though. I can't speak for them or their motivations.
