[He's quiet for a moment-- deep in thought as he passes a fingertip over his bottom lip. That blue gaze is distant and lost for what feels like a good while to Will, lost somewhere in his own memories.]

Good. I mean. That they're happy. I wanted that.

[ It doesn't make the loss any easier though, does it? ]

[And to a shadowhunter, mortality is sacred. Will shrugs, not wanting to feel any sort of resentment toward that part of himself.]

[At first the complaint about the sequins amuses him, then he begins to worry, especially when he considers Magnus going to one of those games without all of his powers. Trying to hide his reaction he focuses on what might be an easier topic.]

You want drapes the same color as my eyes? It makes me sound like I'm a new throw pillow you're trying to match.

[freewheeling]

[ He'd like to throw you on pillows Alec, does that count? ]

Well, apparently painting the entire town was 'too much' so I downsized my plans.

[alec_lightwood]

[That probably doesn't count but Alec would encourage that response.]

You'll still be all right, Magnus, even if your powers are capped. [That's something he has to believe.] Especially if your Alec's going to be there.

[ It should feel like a positive. But an Alec where Magnus cannot protect him is even more difficult. ]
