Dear Mundane,

While I'm glad you have found something that entertains you, I find this arrangement to be... unsatisfactory. You call me your puppet, but you know who I truly serve. I am not yours to order around, and yet I am compelled to follow your lead. It's jarring. I wish to return home.

Failing that, as I suspect is going to be the case, I have a few requests, and a piece of advice. My requests are these: first, keep my enemies at arm's length. Preferably further. I do not know how long your arms are, but I suspect not long enough to keep a blade from embedding itself in my vessel. Second, if you see any of my allies, allow me to talk with them. Third, on the subject of my other "headmates"... while I am glad to know Gabriel gets to live again at your command, please tell him to turn down his music. It is... grating, at that volume. Also, really? The GhostFacer? ...Really? It's not a problem, it's just...

...I digress. My advice is this: focus on the other, more important things you should be doing right now. Like your application, and that thing you're doing with your friend. I don't want us to get off on the wrong foot here. While I don't approve of being your puppet, you are young and foolish and your wellbeing is important. You should take my advice.

I am glad you feel comfortable with my "voice". I know you were apparently worried about that, though I don't know what it means exactly.

[With a flurry of wings he appears behind the speakers and yanks the plug with maybe a little more force than was strictly necessary. He's just going to stand there with the cord dangling from one hand now, staring at you dejectedly.]

I'm glad to not be alone in any of that, I suppose. I'm afraid my mundane is the same, finding interest everywhere... Thankfully, there's been a difficult time had in deciding. It's bought me some time.

[He pauses for a moment, lips pressing firmly together as he worries over the thought of where he might end up. The expression relaxes slightly though, and he gives his head a small shake.]

Though, if I am to be forced into it, I do at least hope to end up somewhere with others that I know. Familiar faces may make things somewhat easier to deal with...?

In any case, we have a lot in common, it seems. If I had to go somewhere, I would rather be beside someone I know. Honestly, even an enemy would be better than a world full of complete strangers. Maybe it's because there's something comforting about predictability...

[He trails to a halt and his eyes wander about a bit while he considers how to proceed without any more awkwardness. This is to little avail, considering he's pretty much made of the stuff.]

You know, there's a chance we may end up at the same place at the same time. [He fixes you with a blank stare while he waits to gauge a reaction. Real subtle there, buddy.]

[Frankly, nightclubs aren't really Gabriel's scene. Good for picking out a douchebag (or a whole room full of them), but when it comes to actually relaxing, he generally prefers something either a little classier or a lot sleazier.]

I'm pretty sure the kind of gentlemen's club you're thinking of hasn't been a thing since the Edwardian era.

[The embarrassment isn't so much written all over his face as it is scrawled all over him in big neon letters. By that, you can pretty much assume with 100% certainty that story didn't end on a high note.]

[He glances down for a moment, but when he looks back up, there's a tentative smile on his face.]

We could also aim to be in the same place at the same time. [Is that what you were getting at, because it felt like it was with that stare.] At least that way we'd know someone right away... There would be the chance to work together...

[He shrugs a little, but he's plenty on board if that was in fact what you were staring at him for. Sounds a lot better to him than diving in blind and alone.]
