It's nothing but a dead end for her. She needs to be in New York, at Columbia building a future for herself, not serving out some kind of sentence in purgatory. Kate and I and Lanie and Ryan are adults and we'll deal with it. Alexis doesn't deserve that, no matter how much I miss her.

Don't you dare go looking for her. You better put that idea right out of your mind.

And, for the record, no, I don't want my mother there either.

She definitely likes you. But... you know how I feel about Alexis being there. My mun and I aren't on the same page about it either, you know how she gets.

She's got no business there, simple as that. I'd rather never see her again than have her life ruined.

Castle... You're gonna see her again. And if she does end up there we'll do what we can to figure it out.

I do and I'm thankful for that. [She doesn't want him to think she isn't. She'd be lost without him, or at the least, pretty damn unhappy.] I'm just not used to having puzzles I can't solve.
