I don't see how you could miss me when I'm still here. I always have been. It's been, what, six years now? No. I don't think I'll be going anywhere for a long time to come.

Of course other interests capture you. And while I don't approve of some of the voices you've picked up...it certainly doesn't mean I'm gone. Just used up and muscled out for a time. You remember how this goes as well as I do. Besides, you were just saying how you'd like to rewatch the show again, and reread those books once more, even if it's going to take quite some time for you to get around to it.

I realize it's going to make me sound like quite the hypocrite, but you really shouldn't worry so much. I'm not upset. You've done plenty enough upsetting things that I would really rather never speak of again, and this hardly qualifies. I'll stay quite cozy, thank you.

...No, no, I don't need to meet James Bond. Really. I can wait. It's fine. You don't need to give me 'a fanboy moment'. All right, really, stop now, before I change my mind about being so understanding about the whole thing.

Since, oh, a handful of months back. It was long past due, leaving where I was, and it was unfortunate that the whole thing was dragged out so long. 'You always hurt the ones you love' seems distressingly accurate in that situation.

Nowhere that she's found, but she hasn't really looked. She has one or two being mildly considered, but we'll have to wait and see if anything comes of it. I might just be taking a break for a bit. But she keeps getting little reminders, and she gets in little moods sometimes.

Like she feels like I could use a little psychotherapy from a cannibal. I hope that one passes her by quickly enough.

I suppose that's the joy of having a bit of freedom here. And the freedom of not being tied down somewhere for a time. We can technically remember whoever we'd like.

Well, after Bete Noire, I went home. And then I went to this other world. Then I went home again. Then I arrived in Dagaz. Kinda left my memory resembling Swiss cheese.

I'm sorry. I suppose that's better than being possessed or reverting back to a more childlike state...

Nowhere at the moment. Which is fine. I've had a good run for a while there, and it's always...difficult to place me. I suppose that's why I stuck to the city so much, having actually found a place to awkwardly fit.

The company tends to be varying degrees of unpleasant, but you know how I can be such a solitary creature at times. So long as the flamboyant villain doesn't stray my way, there shouldn't be any problems. It's...nice. A lot of faces I miss, of course. Yours among them. But it's good to be put on the backburner sometimes. No more cackling with people in the middle of the night plotting up tortures.

But are you happy?

...That was always the most important question, wasn't it? I'm content. I don't know that I would necessarily go all the way to say happy. Happy is...with friends and family.

I wanted you to be. Happy.

I know. I was happy before I left, even if my mun wasn't terribly. Things seemed to finally be somewhat settling down. I like a good bit of action as much as the next armoury officer, but interpersonal conflict isn't what I was ever after.

Few people love it. Besides muns. But they don't count as people.

When next I'm ever thrown anywhere, I'll be older and hopefully wiser. But that will come at a price. I can't say I look forward to a little canon boost.

I seriously know the feeling.

If it were up to me, I'd say congratulate me. They deserved it and what waited for them once they crossed into my domain. She didn't need their abuse.
