It is an acceptable alternative to imprisonment.
I'm sure that there will be something there that will catch my interest. I doubt it will be these "partners" that you have made mention of, but they will prove to be useful in the long run. As to what exactly they will be useful for, that I will keep to myself until the appropriate time.

Perhaps. It depends on your point of view.

I highly doubt that my presence would cause as much--[and he pauses momentarily, trying to think of the proper word to use]--entertainment as you think it will.

It is obvious that you are no human, yet you are most certainly not a shadow either... tell me. What are you?

A Shinigami? God of death, hmm? And here I thought Nyx was the closest thing to a goddess of death there was.
The question remains, though. If you have evolved into something else, just what exactly does that make you?
[Why no, the elderly man doesn't seem to be phased by someone claiming to be a death god. After all, what is there to fear when death has lost its sting?]

Merely a name, not quite a correct description of what they are. Despite what the majority of them believe, they are not gods nor are they as infallible as one. They are only powerful spirits who have the ability to assist the souls of the dead in entering Soul Society, the land of the dead, and purifying those souls that have lost their hearts and become corrupt.
[He's not exactly surprised by somebody not being phased by him existing. Aizen has honestly dealt with stranger things.]
Something far closer to a god than anything else that has come before me.
[Translation: He's a crazy evil butterfly monster. At least until he lost all of his powers except for immortality.]

[Still, the concept of godhood seems to be one that is amusing to Victor.]
It appears such notions of deism and the pursuit of the almighty is not lost even on your kind.
I hate to dash your delusions, but there is no such thing as God. Monotheistic, or poly. If there were, I would not exist, for I have spat in their very face, accomplished the impossible, and escaped their singular imposed fate.

I should know, several so-called gods serve me without hesitation.

He's pretty sure Kenpachi is going to show up at any moment and try to fight him. Because that's just how things work.]
Lieutenant Kusajishi, what a surprise to see you here.

[ Yachiru's pretty sure the biggest poopyface in the whole wide world shouldn't be here! He's supposed to be... well, she's not sure where, but it's the place where the bad guys are put. The bad place. Because Poopyface is not the nice Megane-kun she used to bother for sweets (like everyone else in Seireitei). He's mean and bad and things!!
And Ken-chan's not around to fight him! ]

I was aware of that fact before you brought it up, yes.

Ah, right. You just don't care. Everyone in the universe but you is just a tool. Steppin' stones for you to achieve your goals. [tell him something he doesn't know, Hollow.] Haaa... you know that only works if yer stronger than everyone else, though.
